  1. Welp, I can't recall at just what age, but Mom, passed at 89, subtracted a year every Birthday for at least 8 or 10 years. Not that much younger than you, hang in there!
  2. My best and oldest friend, in his late 70's is absolutely taken with them. He was a bicycle enthusiast as was I in younger days as well as a motorcycle enthusiast. He has been trying to talk me into one for years. Sold his other bicycles and all but one light motorcycle. Tempted, but have so far managed not to test ride one.
  3. Whatever else you have, IMHO, you need a Rock Chucker! I sold my first one when I got a fancier press, then soon bought another! Handy in many ways.
  4. Buy a small real gold bead pierced ear earring. Cheap, never tarnish, you can drill or just glue. They generally come in pairs so you have a spare.
  5. Don't fool around with improv for photography of an eclipse. Be as careful as you are with guns. Been as heavily into cameras as guns for most of my life. If you can't see, you can't shoot. Follow genuine experts!
  6. If you have some property, you could make enough allowing trailers and tents to buy some expensive new gear! Check hotel prices.
  7. Rumor has it he also was fond of Vegas.
  8. I suggested wax / paraffin because most folks would probably have some in the house. The compound is better as is a burnishing tool, often lignum vitae, but the suggested method would be free for most folks.
  9. Glue with good leather cement, lightly sand, rub with paraffin, burnish with a hardwood dowel. Repeat across time as needed.
  10. I don't have small dogs, but if I did, they could count on the same "artillery support" against predators that my big dogs get, with significantly more attention due to vulnerability. Dog friends of any size are family.

  12. I have a pair of Rhodesians, large, attractive and charming. They were bred to hunt African Lions and protect their people. If good people own dogs they have and get good dogs that don't bite good humans. We have had very large Mountain Lions taken near the ranch, but so far, Rhodesians and Labs have been fine. The coyotes are probably more of an issue. Probably need to do more on that.
  13. Solengen -The city has been known for it’s blade making prowess for centuries and was given the title “The City of Blades.” Highly skilled knife and swordmakers perfected their craft over the centuries and organized into powerful companies and guilds.
  14. Have both along with Old school Gerber. Check out Shun as well and Rada on the inexpensive end are excellent.
  15. Maybe I missed chain of custody? There are many reports of activity old and new. One thing that is certain is who had the revolver in his hand, "when it pulled the trigger".
  16. Our boys hear her car at least a mile before the driveway. She gets a dogalanch once I open the door when she is parked in the garage.
  17. Actually, my recollection is that it was a sawback engineer Mauser bayonet. We certainly used flamethrowers through WWII and i think, Viet Nam.
  18. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/education/education-news/boxing-horseplay-days-are-over-for-duran-1163130.html Just so you know!
  19. That's fine right up to the point you have to chew your arm off.
  20. Dayum! And here I thought dressing for dinner was bad.
