  1. I'm starting to practice slip hammering more for speed. check out this video by deadeye on double taps I'm not sure if he slip hammers every shot but i think slip hammering on muti shot targets would be faster.
  2. I have a bag of grey wads about 80% full ill trade for the pink, Ill throw a couple bucks on top if you want.
  3. Long Hunter sells sure hit light or super light mainsprings. if you do need to replace yours. I'd personally go with the lightened version and not the super light unless you only shoot federal primers.
  4. Throw some of that dirty stuff in there
  5. If a club has the means to offer online registration and payment there is no reason they shouldn't be doing that. That doesn't mean that you still can't fill out an app by hand and mail a check also. Technology exist to make things more convenient I don't love having to write a check and mail an app but that's my only option most of the time. If they offered online registration and payment i would chose to use that. As far as facebook and other social media if clubs have some people that are willing to run the pages there is no reason to not have one. you also don't have to participate in that if you choose not too.
  6. If you can part with one that would be fine. I'm hoping they come in time but I'll be sol if they don't.
  7. Does anyone in the western Pa area have a Uberti wire type bolt spring I could buy? one of mine broke and I need one before a shoot next Saturday. I ordered some from wolf but I'm not sure they will be here in time. I can either pay for one or give you one when I receive the new ones. Not sure if this should be posted in wtb because Id like to get one in person if possible.
  8. I think if you look at shootings sports as a whole you'll find that the majority of the shooters are older. all shooting sports are expensive. I'd venture to guess that the most popular ones are uspsa and idpa where you only need 1 gun and can compete with what most people already have at home. the majority of younger shooters I've known were into it because of there parents. Its also harder to keep those shooters for life. I'm under the camp that thinks the target needs to be 30s-40s. that age generally has more money, and if they have kids then that's more shooters that could potentially be pulled in.
  9. I agree with Bull. My lever is bent so I don't have to push it as far before the barrels open. stoegers are notorious for poor fit on the lugs already. and with light springs tend to open themselves if the lugs are not fitted properly.
  10. Edited since I didn't realize it was that far of a drive. Cass Inc, in great cacapon WV hosts the WV state championship. it would be worth the drive for the weekend. lots of prop use and "cowboy town" look to the stages. the targets are much further out that i've seen at other places. Great people to boot.
  11. my uncle shoots 30k rounds of 12ga a year and he has exclusively switched to cheddite primers because they have been the only ones consistently available. i also only shoot cheddites and have never had an issue.
  12. I just asked this question the other day. You could have loaded the 6th chamber on the clock and shot the target.
  13. I wouldn't vote No, but I don't see the benefit of the 28ga when you can load the same load in a 12.
  14. If its not a washout I plan on being there.
