I know ESTES is supposed to make it available in the future, once they have met their distributors demands.  But it is not readily available yet and I already have the Schuetzen.

I just checked several online suppliers, Maine Powder House and Powder Valley just to name two and both have Goex in all granulations in stock and ready to ship.  I realize you already have the scheutzen, but Goex is now available.

  2. Goes is available again.  Just saw some at Maine Powder house and other online retailers.

  3. Great TO!  Kudo's for keeping that fellow shooting and enjoying our game at his age.  Part of the job of being a TO is to help the shooter successfully and safely complete the stage.  Whether it is keeping the shooter on the right target, counting the shots or lending an arm to help them to the next shooting position, they are there to help everyone have fun and be safe.

  4. This has been the only complaint about the ginex primers and it isn't anything new, was discussed here at least 2 years ago.  They seat harder than other primers and every once in a while you get a high one.  I just seat them again and shoot them.  I use them for practice in my pistols, my rifle won't set them off.  I just ran out of the last 5k I had.  Going to the Tulsa gun show in a couple of weeks and hoping to find them there at a decent price to save on shipping and hazmat.

Sure Hit sights should slip right on.

I had this same thing happen, sure hits will not slip on this style of sight.  I had to change to I think it was called the marbles style front sight then slip the sure hit over it.   The gold stud ear ring idea should work or you might cut a slot in a .22 short case lengthwise and put some epoxy on to hold it.

  6. My thought is you need to focus on young shooters that will keep the game going.  Retired guys may shoot a few years then quit because of declining health.  Find ways to make it appealing to younger shooters.

I know SASS did an event with the release of the new Red Dead Redemption video game.  Reach out to gamer groups in your area and put on a range day where they can come out and try a stage with real guns and ammo.  Think of other youth groups that might like to play, boy scouts, and I think 4h has a western shooting program.

Hold a couple of fund raiser events as a club or ask for sponsors/donations so you have a couple of sets of loaner guns for new comers to use until they can get their own gear.  There is no reason several shooters couldn't share one set of guns and leather at a monthly match.  Ask members to donate some ammo or again, fundraise or ask manufacturers for donations.
