  1. Thanks! I came across it in a hunting discussion so thought it was hunting-specific.
  2. Wonder if purple paint on fence posts changes anything...
  3. I see you have your email address in the "AIM" field. You also have your birthdate filled out. Find the edit button for your profile and make sure all of the following are blank, and save the edit:
  4. Now you went and changed units from pints to ounces. This changes things about 20%, though probably fine for spaghetti sauce. The British Imperial pint is 568.261 ml (20 fluid ounces), while the US Customary pint is 473.176 ml (16 fl oz).
  5. Just edit your post to include an NSFW tag before the google instructions, you should be fine. I only got to #75 or so, but get the idea. And while I did not serve, I did the search.
  6. Having myself just put significant effort into putting this sentence together, I have no desire to take it apart.
  7. Yes, depending on what the meaning of "pint" is. From: https://www.splashlearn.com/math-vocabulary/measurements/pint#:~:text=As per the U.S. measurement,(i.e.%2C 20.0448 ounces). 1.04318 pounds As per the U.S. measurement system, 1 liquid pint of water equals about a pound (16 ounces) in weight. The actual measure of a U.S. pint of water isn't exactly 1 pound. It is about 1.04318 pounds. On the other hand, the British imperial pint weighs 1.2528 pounds (i.e., 20.0448 ounces).
  8. Well, let's just say a bra was not needed... Kind of have a feeling this thread may not last long even if no particular post pushes too far in any direction.
  9. skimmed the thread and thought I got away without being bit, now this is in my head:
  10. With absolute support of the presenter for presenting, I am more likely to listen to someone like: https://www.youtube.com/@WashingtonGunLaw
  11. I have bought on GB, but mostly use it as an easy reference to see if the asking price for something I am interested in is a good value (answering the question "can I buy it cheaper on GB?). Having never sold a gun, I can not comment on that side of using GB.
  12. Then stop reading this post right now. For square root of a number, take the log of the number, divide the log by 2, and take the antilog of the result.
  13. If all one is interested in is emotional agreement with those who agree, then fake quotes serve this purpose. If one wants to create dialog which brings others to the same viewpoint, fake quotes terminate such dialog. In this case, there is a legitimate quote which supports the dialog.
  14. Fake quote, but at least manufactured from a real quote: Mark Kramer, director of the Cold War studies program at Harvard University, pointed us to something close. In memoirs written after his retirement, Boris Bazhanov, Stalin’s former personal secretary, claimed that Stalin said: "Я считаю, что совершенно неважно, кто и как будет в партии голосовать; но вот что чрезвычайно важно, это кто и как будет считать голоса." It translates to: "I regard it as completely unimportant who in the party will vote and how, but it is extremely important who will count the votes and how."
  15. Springs have a life measured in cycles. Leaving them compressed will not shorten the life. Repeatedly cycling them uses them up.
  16. I've seen this discussed in other places and there seems to be some consensus for this. North Carolina may be both the next and last state to institute permitless carry. This will bring the total to (I recall) 40, and the last 10 states will simply not do so absent a cultural shift or Supreme Court ruling invalidating permit requirements. Since Bruen did not cast doubt on "longstanding" permit requirements, I suspect the Supreme Court would support them under the "more nuanced" analysis rather than invalidate such requirements completely. At the same time, the court indicated "abusive" permit requirements would not be constitutional.
  17. Had to look up trail carry. Is it this:
  18. I think for many, it is now just an excuse to drink green beer.
  19. I did not quite hear it as strong as the commentator made it sound. And Chevron does not need to go away entirely. I do expect Chevron to acquire limits on two items. First, an interpretation of legislation into a rule can not create a crime. Second, an interpretation must be consistent with the law and also not be a reversal of prior interpretation.
  20. My lady just bought one of these today. Please see this link to see if this particular arm is subject to the voluntary upgrade for the drop safety. https://www.sigsauer.com/support/p320-voluntary-upgrade-program/?avad=275597_b382f5e1d My lady's gun was not part of it. The 320 is a good gun, and Sig will service it for later buyers. But would be good for potential buyers to know if the offered item is in the earlier affected group. Good luck with the sale, my lady paid more than you are asking.
