  1. That response makes more sense than the choices in the question. And the homecoming f'ing sucked, I was young then and saw it. Shameful.
  2. Not a medical professional, but am an engineer who raised sensitive tropical fish. I prefer to stay at Residence Inns. #1: You are likely overthinking it but ask your pharmacist. #2: Sure, even duh! But your pharmacist will know if 1 or 2 or 4 or more or less hours matters. #3: The answer for #2 will probably answer this question.
  3. Never shot gunfighter. Would not have thought it would make a difference. Did a mental exercise. Nevada sweep on 3 plates... First starting on plate 1. For each pair of shots, first shot is to an outside plate: 12 32 12 32 12 LR RL LR RL LR Each pair always starts on alternating end plates, ends on plate 2. Start on middle plate? 21 23 21 23 21 RL LR RL LR RL Each pair starts on plate 2. That does sound fun. My brain gave up on thinking about and comparing other sequences like: 21 23 21 23 21 RL LR RL LR RL I'm leaning towards specified start plate if desired, but also to give consideration to not specifying one just to see how different shooters "solve the problem."
  4. Found this question has come up before, here is a thread from just over 10 years ago: Shortest best answer back then was to specify shooting order separately from the name. But also found some history for the sweep in this older thread so thought I would share it.
  5. I want info on edible eye, this is cool for Halloween!
  6. Not "winners", candidates is a much better characterization.
  7. A shooter "may" carry extra rounds, only rounds carried to the line are legal; nobody can hand you an extra round. Nor is there a requirement to have any extra rounds. So just a miss. But what if the shooter did have an extra round which could have been put in the gun? No requirement to do so. Still just a miss. If the shooter got a competitive advantage by jacking out a round (leading directly to a 5 second miss penalty unless replaced with legally acquired ammunition), that is one slow shooter. I'm not sure I would want to hang my hat on a SOG call giving me an advantage in standings over this shooter. It is still just a miss. This hypothetical shooter beat me fair and square. Even with the miss.
  8. That explains some bills i have got in change...
  9. Most common answer is 4, one to hold the bulb and 3 to cut a hole in the roof.
  10. The upper tang also has numbers, 713, 715, or maybe 718. There is a border visible around these upper numbers starting on the left, can not see where it ends on the right.. The 3rd digit at the top does not seem the match the one on the bottom tang. There may be one or more markings after the first three in both markings. Looks like maybe another 7 as fourth digit on bottom marking.
  11. Damn that is nice, but can't get a sibling for my Winchester at this time. Might come back to look this again next week, but don't let me hold anyone else back.
  12. It can't be that complicated!
  13. FPC is pretty active: https://www.firearmspolicy.org/legal Actual participation in litigation as primary attorneys or through amicus briefs. There are some others I follow, this was simply the biggest gap I saw on a first thread read. SAF is also active, though there is some associated drama like with the NRA. I leave it to the reader to determine if each is self-inflicted or fabricated by the opposition.
  14. Wow! Selfcheck is not why I don't shop there, it is a different reason. And first, when I do shop there it is not for price (though generally cheaper). I shop there for the item. The last time I shopped there, I needed a coffee pot. No clock, no timer, just an "on and off" switch. Amazon did not have this item. But the employees are beat and exhausted and driven too hard! They do not come to work to help people, they show up because it at least keeps a roof over their head. It provides no real meaningful purpose. I prefer to shop where employees are appreciated. That includes places where I do use self-checkout. To be blunt, running a register at that business is not really going to make an employee feel good about their job.
  15. The SASS Handbook has a written rule. The shooter "should" shoot where it was. The handbook does not link this to any penalty, not a miss, not a P, and not a SoG. There is only a "should." Now the next shooter sees what went down above, and fully comprehends the stage instructions. This shooter comes to the line and shoots 4 of the pistol targets, then knocks down 5 of the rifle targets before shooting the 5th pistol target(not going for the dump plate at all) before switching to rifle... Then engaging the remaining 5 rifle targets before dumping 5 rounds into the berm... Well, still no misses, not a P either. What I tried to create with this scenario is a SoG. On the assumption the rifle targets where easily engaged by pistol. Did I succeed? On edit: Shooter intent is a factor discussed earlier. Hard to not see intent for my hypothetical next shooter.
  16. Tennessee already had a way for university employees to carry at work. This expansion to K-12 is built on it:
  17. You are 100% right if target order was specified but it was not. Sort of agree with you but rules are rules.
  18. Clean. The miss flowchart goes down the right side for not hitting the correct type of target with the pistol. So assess misses. The stage instruction specifies that this particular instance is not a miss (was not when engaging the dump target). And while the shooter "should" shoot where the downed rifle target was, I see no penalty associated with the text. So back to the flowchart, no further call.
  19. If it comes completely off, the dog is likely to eat it. Possible bowel obstruction...
  20. Orders came down to each branch to prepare to secure a certain hotel by a certain date.. The marines figured out a landing starting with a beach-head. The Navy prepared the big guns on the ship. The Army prepared for a multi-month buildup followed by an overland assault. The Air Force called up on the phone and made reservations.
