  1. Sunny and clear here. At a friends place in Olney Il, bought pork burgers and brats and sat out side and saw it. Took a couple quick looks during the full part with the glasses, made for a cool effect to see but my phone did not get a good picture to share. traffic was a mess everywhere.
  2. You all can come over to my place. We will have 90.7% coverage of the sun at the peak and it starts at 2:12 pm, Totality begins at 2:53 pm, Max coverage at 3:26 pm, Totality ends 3:59 pm, Partial ends at 4:36 pm. I guess the whole afternoon will be shot for getting anything done. The forecast for here is partly cloudy and about 70 degrees. I bought a pair of glasses for $4. The gas station I get gas at had sign that stated they were out of glasses. Looks like all stations were open here and had gas. They have been having a bunch of events celebrating here since Friday evening mostly at the fairgrounds. I have been mostly at home.
  3. I had one in 44 mag. Wish I had not sold it. It was a good rifle, used it for a backup for my Marlins.
  4. Local shop has one in stock, he may be willing to ship. I think it had 28 inch barrels. Let me know if you don't find one.
  5. I have no Tolerance for anything----That's why I am called Maddog.
  6. A local gun shop in my area has small pistol primers for $60.00 a thousand. I asked and these are new production Winchester primers. He stated he had a large supply with no limits on purchase. He stated he has not seen any large pistol primers and he has them on order. Thought I would post this for those that are keeping track of prices Maddog McCoy

  8. I Could offer 10LBs of Trail Boss for it. Nice Motorcycle My dad talk about riding on the gas tank and my grandmother riding on the back of his stepfather's motorcycle. I believe it was an Indian. I will show him the pictures.
  9. We have 3 head of cattle here on our farm. I believe my brother said on March 14, he is going to reduce the herd by 1/3 and fill his freezer. The rest of the herd might be sold or moved to his farm down south. Either way, I won't have to feed them every day.
  10. Thanks for the replies. I got a 5lb jug for $275.00 and thought that it was an ok price. I put it in the safe next to the 5lb jug I got in 2017 that had a price of $140 on it.
  11. I went to National Gun Day in Louisville, Ky today and found a 5lb jug of Trail Boss. After a bit of talking, we agreed on a price. What would you all consider a reasonable price? After I hear back from you all, I will post the price I paid. Thanks
  12. I remember the movie or it could have been a tv show. They are bidding on an Indian lady and the guy has his back turned and keeps biding and never looks at what he is biding on. The guy biding that wins knows how much the other guy said he would pay to win the auction as he had bragged in the saloon how much he could spend. The other man is getting mad and stops bidding one bid short of what he said he would pay to win the auction. The guy turns around and is shocked to see he had bought a lady and it cost him all the money he had made on pelts and he only has a few cents left. She follows him around and she is upset that he does not want her. He finally loses the lady at the end of the show in a shooting contest with a young man that wants the lady. I searched on goggle some and will keep ;looking. Might have been an episode of Danial Boone, Gunsmoke or something similar.
  13. In one of the X-man movies, he is shot in the forehead and falls over. It the shows the bullet pushed out of his forehead and the wound healing. I believe when he is stabbed, the weapon must be removed so he can heal and his claws must be retracted so he will heal over the holes they make.
  14. I bought this off of Facebook to make into a gun cart. It runs and goes forward and reverse, but it does not have any brakes, only one speed and has a pull start motor. The plan is to install a electric start motor off a lawnmower, a centrifugal clutch for speed control and brakes and a gun rack on the rear. Search Shiners cart on Market place and there are several different model available. I think I gave $900 for this one.
  15. When I moved to my grandparents farm, the mice were everywhere. I could sit in the building working on stuff at night and watch the mice run along the slats in the corn crib. I told my brother and he said he had a cure. He brought over a Tomcat that was fixed. One week later did not see any mice running around but the cat was almost double in size. He has been here several years and stays in the building and roams all over the place and I almost never see a mouse unless he is playing with it. Rabbits, birds and other things are not safe from him.
  16. Billy, I found our Posse picture from Winter Range 2006, Posse 2. You, Me, Badlands Ben, Shalaho Joe, Calvin and Hobbes, Calvin and Hobbes wife, Non-stop. ,Non-stop's wife and that is all I can remember tonight. I found my books from EOT 2005 and I have a hard copy of the results somewhere, but have not found them yet. I have several SHOOT magazines from that time period that I have found. I found an original flyer from Hampton Bullet Company from Ben and Joe during the time that they were selling bullets and I remember meeting their parents and hanging around with them at Mule Camp. If I can get a clear picture of the posse picture I will post it here or email you a copy. I know I have more stuff from that time period but I have moved 6 times since then and not sure where to look. Maddog
  17. What is this NFL you speak of? A super bowl is what I put my popcorn in so I have enough for the movie I am watching. Seriously, I have never watched a entire NFL game or the Super Bowl. The only time I have watched any football was when I was married and my father-in-law had it on at his house where we were spending the holiday. I went to 2 football game parties in Alabama for colleges games at my friends house when I lived in Alabama. Everybody was really into the football game, I was there for the food as I was single at that time. I don't know who is playing in the Superbowl this year and could care less. However, I can say the same about profession basketball, hockey, the Olympics, Nascar , Soccer, college football and any other televised sport on TV. On occasion, I will follow the St. Louis Cardinal baseball to see how they are doing as part of my family follows them and I just need to be informed enough to not stick my foot in my mouth when attending family events. I use to watch professorial wrestling with my son and have attended a dozen or so matches with him, but now that he is out on his own I have not watched it in the last couple years.
  18. Any time I have to drive up to Chicago. 22 mini-revolver in my front shirt pocket 44 spl revolver in my coat pocket GP100 Ruger 357 under my seat in the truck. Sometimes a shotgun or a 1911 in the tool box of my truck. Extra boxes of ammo in the tool box for each one.
  19. I was shooting a match one time and they had a swinging cowboy going back and forth in front of you and obscuring the target. I shot the cowboy right in heart and hit the target behind him. Shooting the cowboy was a no call, but later I had several cowboys from different posses ribbing me about shooting him. When I went back and looked at the prop, somebody had taken a marker and wrote "Maddog was here" around the hole in his heart.
