  1. Johnny, I have a Browning BSS that you worked on originally for Doc Pain. After it is fired, sometimes it will not fully break open. I have to close it and break it a second time. Is there some know issue that causes that and if some how do I fix it? Thanks

Thanks for the info. When I got the gun from Barleycorn the left barrel would not fire every time. The pin looked short. I found some new old stock pins online and ordered the firing pin retractor springs too. I bought the bushing removal tool and replaced the pin and spring on the left barrel only. The spring on the left barrel was kind of out of shape when I replaced it.  Should I go ahead and replace the right barrel pin and spring too? Also, when I first got the gun I took the extractor out and very lightly polished it. I’ll take it out again and make sure it’s not catching on anything. I’ll use a dry lube on it. When you say the extractor is hitting the stop, do you think the end that actually extracts the cases is dragging on the face of the action? The action breaks and comes open about half way then it sticks. Hard to close quickly and sometimes hard to reopen. I’d like to get through the next couple months of the season before I have to send it.
