  1. You may be right, I'd have to check the SHB.
  2. Sorry that was a typo it's Saturday the 16th. I'll post the details when I get them.
  3. That looks like a hoot. Too bad about that the gun needs ejectors to work. You have to admire the engineering to make it work, someone spent a lot of time and a lot of thought.
  4. Of course you know that Cap & Ball revolvers are cheaper than cartridge and in many states they don't have to ship to an FFL. Added benefit = black powder 'nough said.
  5. Ahhh, he's changed his profile since his original posting. Much better now that we know where he's at.
  6. Here's the link: https://www.polishcappers.com/
  7. Finally some good news, just found out that the Mississippi Peacemaker's match for May 18 is on. The details are being worked and will be announced later. So if you're hanker'in for a match and want to come to Mendenhall, MS bring your guns and let's shoot'em up.
  8. You want the wise a$$ answer? New because used don't work at all . Seriously I use Federal Magnums but I'm shooting smokey (powder not the bear) so I like the extra oomph of the magnums.
  9. You don't list where you're located. Are you planning on joining SASS? Chances are there are folks on here that are in your area so you can talk to them directly.
  10. When I answer I hope it's not a recording so I can have some fun. My area code is from South Texas so a lot of the calls show a number with the same area code. I figure if their from South TX they should know how to speak Spanish right? They don't and then they hang up. Or if their from India while they're talking I'll google Hindu Curse Words and then use a couple. That infuriates them, they usually curse at me and they hang up. One guy bothered me so I called him back, he wasn't too happy after the 5th or 6th call and he blocked my number. Life's short have fun with them. YMMV
  11. Just PM me your address and they'll be on the stage.
  12. Stay well Brother. Look forward to seeing you when you get back.
  13. I'm going to try my hand at Frontiersman, I can't get much slower so why not You in the USA?
  14. The primary ingredient in Spam is chopped pork shoulder meat mixed with ham. About 90% of Spam is pork from a pig's shoulders. The remaining 10% (or so) comes from the pig's buttock and thigh, better known as ham. Sorry I couldn't resist being a wise a$$
  15. Count me in. Here's to a successful surgery and a very speedy recovery.
  16. Ordered one early this morning couple of hours later got an email that it shipped. Gotta love it.
  17. I can give you some pink wads so you can get it right
  18. I'm glad it works for you. I rolled mine on an antique bench mounted roller, I was surprised how easy it was to get a slight roll. When reloading I'm using 11 gauge cards/wads and the fiber wads were leaving a big mess. I use my MEC to prime, then the ram to pack things down, and the shot measure to get 1 1/8 oz of shot without having to use a scale. I am de-priming and adding powder by hand.
  19. With SG be prepared, BP and APP burn hotter than smokeless. I started loading APP for SG with plastic hulls and wads, they work but keep in mind a couple of things. (1) The hulls won't last very long, I would get 1 or 2 reloads before I had to toss them using Remington STS hulls. (2) The plastic wads will melt in the barrel, not a huge deal but you need to get it all out when cleaning. I had used a pink wad and there was nothing like seeing a pink ribbon coming out when cleaning . Those things combined led me to load brass SG shells.
  20. I've read some of you want to roll crimp, if you're looking for a roll crimper send me a PM, got a couple of them. I'm using a SxS and didn't see enough of a benefit during loading them in the chambers by roll crimping compared to the difficulty getting wads past the crimp when reloading them.
  21. Look'in good! Now when are you making mine?
  22. ^^ Great Advice ^^ I use 3.7cc with nitro card over the top. Then it's 2 each 1/2 inch fiber wads, overshot card, 1 1/8 oz shot, another overshot card. Seal the edge of the card with Duco Cement. BP or Sub burn hotter than smokeless and will melt some plastic in the barrel.
  23. Prayers to a top cowboy and great guy.
  24. Yes, and maybe case length. Something like this, but built in No buzzers. Maybe a train whistle?
