If you are buying or selling items on the Classified Forum, check your profile and delete your email address if you added it under any of the "Contact Methods". You are making yourself a target for scammers. They do not have to be Wire Members to see your email address and try to rip you off.

I checked and we don't have a Doc Clint on the Wire, so this is coming from outside. Y'all done good by being on your toes. The scammers are everywhere!

They were at the Shot Show just before that. Misty and Ruby just spent a week, or more, at EoT which had a lot of visitors. They were at the Red Dead Redemption gathering last year, and they'll probably be there this year. Misty puts a lot of time and effort into promoting SASS. I don't know their itinerary, but they'll be at many of the large shows/events this year.

In a school class long, long, ago we learned the basics of type setting and printing. I can't say what grade, my rememberer won't give it up. But, I do think I enjoyed it.
I have a couple of type boxes in the workshop for small gun part storage.

The SASS Wild Bunch Forum doesn't use your current username and password from the SASS Wire Forum. You'll have to register anew there. They have different Moderators and Admins there, so I can't help you with that.

Be aware that a couple of "Guests" tried the 3rd Party Scam today. We ban them as soon as we find them, but if they are active for just one hour, they can do damage.

If you DO get scammed, besides reporting the fraud to the police at that person's location. File a complaint on the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) web site.

It never hurts to ask before jumping in. There's a lot of good advice to be had here. Right now the scam sites outnumber the reputable sellers.

You are logged into an account you created in 2009. There are two other accounts "Chain Blue,.BPGF" and "Gunwelder aka Chain Blue". I can merge them all into this account and rename it for you if this e-mail and log-in is the one you want to use.

He's already been banned. His name sounds familiar don't it? He started as Jason Perry, then he was PerryJS, (there was another iteration that I've forgotten at the moment), and now Perry Jason. All using the third-party scam. We ban the obvious ones in our daily vetting of new Wire Members. But, a quick report from y'all gets it done faster. Keep on the lookout for the next mole to be whacked!

in SASS Wire Classifieds

Buyers been hit by a flurry of scam e-mails from an address with "Intersport Performance" in the name, pretending to be the seller, attempting to hijack the payment. If you have your e-mail address added to your profile under "contact methods", delete it!
Deal with PMs or double-check the address of an e-mail sender.
