Here's a thought, just post a link to the original image/article/whatever, without reposting that image/article/whatever. This came up in an earlier iteration of The Wire when folks were posting copyrighted images of the Swedish Bikini Shooting Team.

Free Grazers are welcome here!
This is a place provided by SASS for members and non-members to get together, ask questions, share knowledge, solve problems, and generally talk about SASS and Cowboy Action Shooting.
Oh, and for myself, I prefer .38-40 (38WCF) for Black Powder, and .38 special for the heathen smokeless.

Death toll is now at 15 and 30+ injured. Cybertruck fire and explosion in front of the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas is also being investigated as a terrorism event.

Can anyone vouch for Shirley Sure Shot? I replied on the wtb skb thread that i had one for sale and this person PM me. They just joined the wire on wednesday, have made one post and have no reputation points. Also want me to ship the gun to Alaska and didn't want to get postal money orders to pay for it, want to send cashier's check or wire transfer. Just being cautious.
The best thing to do is what we do. When the SASS office opens, call them and inquire if the alias and number go together and if it is a legitimate member from that location. You can also email, phone, whatever, the TG or other contact person from that club.

Most of the New Model Blackhawks were built using the .44 Magnum-sized frame. That, coupled with the tall, ramp-style front sight, makes it incompatible with holsters built for New Vaqueros, which were built on the frame of the early .357 3-screw Blackhawks.
There are many excellent leather makers.
One I like is Lar Fitzgerald (Michgan Rattler Leather). He can custom build you any type of holster to meet your needs. Turnaround time is excellent, and he's a SASS -shooter.

I received a pm here from a member saying they had a barrel for a 1887. Of course it was asking me to email him.
Upon looking at the sender I noticed he joined 3 hours ago.
looks kinda like a scam
You can contact the Moderators by clicking on the "Report" button (three dots in the upper right corner of a PM, post, or whatever) and leaving a question or comment. We'll check it out for you. In this case, the person was banned and deleted from our ranks.

I have been trying to post photos for a long time. When I think I have it, I don’t. It is beyond frustrating. Yes, I have read some instructions, but always get fouled up. I don’t even know what “Tags” are, or where to find the answer.
If anyone cares to help a beyond-senior citizen and 32-year CAS participant solve this problem, it would be greatly appreciated. A PM response would be best. Thank you.1. click on the "choose files" link at the bottom of the posting window then,
2. locate the file on your computer, then click "open" on your computer screen. That will place a preview of your photo at the bottom of the screen.
3. Then place your cursor where you want the photo appear in your message.
4. Now click on the photo preview at the bottom again.
That should place your photo in the location you selected.
5. Finally, click on the "Submit" button.

Taylor's Firearms, parts dep't. Buy two and order the Trigger/Bolt springs while you're at it. There's never a convenient time for them to break.

The Single Action Shooting Society is the umbrella organization with several disciplines. You will find different rulebooks (Handbooks) for Cowboy Action Shooting, Wild Bunch Action Shooting, and Cowboy Clays.
There are separate Forums for CAS and WBAS because the rules in many cases are different. The handguns are different, the round counts are different, the pistol load parameters are different.
If you post a question on the Wire Bunch Forum, it will be answered. There are a lot of experienced, helpful shooters there. Sign up! There is a lot of helpful information already posted there.

If I was making the call, I would not use the words "more or less". It either broke the 170 or it did not. Don't equivocate. I would commit myself to a position, or not make the call.

A reminder, go back through your old posts, it's easier to find them using a Google search. I'm finding where folks put their names, addresses, and phone numbers in posts, years ago. You may not remember something from 6-8 years ago... But, the internet never forgets.

I have a question for @Eliphalet R. Moderator
Actually 2 questions.
1. I haven’t had to log on yet with the new system. Is it not implemented?
2. Is there any way to dump the annoying “merge” feature while we have the attention of the forum contractor?
When submitting one post after another the system merges them if done within what I consider to be a random amount of time. Also, when this occurs if you edit the post that was merged you literally have to leave that page then return to post the second post. It’s 2024, not 1996. The forum provider / contractor should be reminded of that.
I can post GIFs and videos which in 1996 was impossible due to bandwidth and very limited internet speeds. I think here in 2024 the contractor might be able to update their system with little effort.Seems not to have been implemented yet.
I'll forward your info on automatic merge. I never experienced it so thank you for describing it.

I find it almost funny that security is so strongly emphasized but we are generally not allowed the more secure methods ourselves - one of which is a VPN. Many websites want to look into my computer for their protection, thus decreasing my protection.
So 2 factor is sorta helpful but it reminds me of "duck and cover" during the 1950's to some extent. What about those without a cell phone! (I know, I can usually use my email.)
No problem using a VPN, I use one myself, for both this log-in, my regular log-in, FB and whatever. I have to use 2Factor if I use a VPN with G-Mail, my Credit Union, or Amazon.

There are two-different types of 2-Factor ID log-ins.
One is used by banks, brokerages, online pharmacies, etc. Where you log in and then they send you a message by phone or e-mail. whichever you chose, and you reply to that message.
The other is used by Facebook, G-Mail, Paypal and Amazon. Where if you are logging in from a location or a device other than your usual one, only then do they require the 2nd-step of the log in. So, if you are looking at FB from the same location and device, you'd never know it was 2 Factor. I would bet that this is the type the Wire is going to go to. Log-in with the 2 step process once, and you'll not have to do it again from that device and location. But others will not be able to get into your account without you knowing.
In the meantime, your e-mail addresses are hidden by default. But, many of you have added your email address again to your public profile. Don't do that!!
We will continue to delete, without notice, private phone numbers and email addresses that folks STILL add in their posts, when we see them.

Most "minimum" password requirements these days are at least 8 characters, with uppercase and lowercase letters, some numbers, and a character or two, like $&@!*+ etc...
We've had a lot of folks who only used their SASS number, or duplicated their username for their password, or used words like "password", "secret", "SASS" "Colt" "Ruger" or some other easy password. It's time we caught up to the rest of the big, bad, digital world and keep the scammers at bay.

I would change it now and if required at the update.
I did and will.
This time I chose to use the Apple recommended “Strong” password. It’s 20 characters. Hope I don’t lose my phone. I’d never remember it.This is a good idea.
