  1. GJ is one of my favorites here on the wire, hope to run into him someday, great pic!
  2. Can’t believe Larsen is givin away his tips before a big match, shows he is confident in his abilities !
  3. Preacherman, you have first dibs as far as I’m concerned, I will also check with Lee tomorrow and see if it fits my marlin, if it does I will take it if you don’t. I took a quick look at Buffalo Arms and their bases run $140.00. If thats the case a new sight that fits my Marlin is the way I would go!
  4. If Preacherman doesn’t take it and it would fit a Marlin 1894 I will take it. Thanks SCJ
  5. For sale a completely refurbished Dillon SDB reloader. Set up for 38 special but comes with a complete set of Dillon 44-40 dies also. Sent it in a few weeks ago and just got it back from Dillon and it’s ready to go, has the work sheet that tells of the parts they changed out. New Large and small primer tubes included. $500, + $35.00 shipping. SOLD
  6. I use moly coated 535 gr. Bullets for my Sharps 45-70 but I do pan lube them with SPG lube. My Sharps has a 34” barrel and after maybe 800 rounds down the tube I have had no issues with unusual fowling or leading,I use Swiss 1.5 F. black powder and they shoot very accurately . 3 wet patches of windex with vinegar (thanks OLG) a dry patch and the barrel shines like a new one!
  7. Marshall Shorty is a good pard to deal with, I have handled these pistols and they are butter smooth, outstanding pistols, if your looking for a pair of exceptional 45s you better grab these!
  8. So sorry to hear this, R.I.P. pard, you will be missed.
  9. Shooting Fox is an excellent pard to do business with and makes really good shot!
  10. Totally off the subject but where did you get that cool lead hardness tester?
  11. I used trail boss for a while, then I found Tite group, just gave away the last trail boss I had to a good pard, For sass I load 44 spc. 3.5 grains behind a 175 gr. Bullet . 44 Russian 3.5 gr. Behind a 175 gr. Bullet, and 38 spc. 3.5 gr. Behind a 105 gr. Bullet. I use a good crimp and love the way they shoot, fairly clean, very accurate and very mild recoil. Tite group is easy to find, cheaper, compared to most other powders and a pound goes a looooong way reloading. Forgot to add I use federal Small and large pistol primers.
  12. That looks about as 1854 as I look Chinese, no thanks.
