Actually, I figured out that if you remove 57&58, the right and left ejectors will push the shell out, but not eject! It works great! Then I trimmed down the hammer springs by 2coils and it is much easier to open. I am now working on sanding down the chambers to allow easy shucking. Almost finished. All in all, not a horrible experience.

I stumbled upon one for stupid cheap. I was wondering if anyone shot one and what they have done to them. It’s the single trigger with barrel selector and ejectors. I know I need to deactivate that, but not really sure how. Thanks for the advice in advance!

I inherited a gob of crap. In it was a bunch of dies, bullets, brass and what I think are really cool, two boxes of 32 rim fires and several brand new 30 round Thompson sticks. Is there any market for this crap? There is plenty of misc parts and what not. Also found a colt python 357 barrel, new, just a little tarnished.

I have one. I pretty much have just started SASS and it works great for me. I don't set any speed records but I also got my rifle for a great price ($500 and a mossberg 500). So when I'm ready, S/S won't be too bad on the pocket book.

I brought my girlfriend(future wife) the our monthly shoot, and she acted very interested throughout the day. On our way home, she tells me, "I need guns now!" And then she spent the trip home looking up aliases. Then when we got home, she filled out her application and she is now awaiting her alias approval. Do you have to put half cock notches in them? What does that accomplish?

Ok, I tested them and they do pinch. How do I weld up the hammer face? I'm a decent welder and what else is needed to remove the transfer bars?

My first gun was a model 60 Marlin. I worked a water route for my grandparents selling gallons of water for $0.35 a gallon. Hard work for $10 a day from well before the sun came up and long after it went down. Twice a week. Killed many a prairie dogs with it. However, my pride and joy, my grandmother gave me my grandfathers Winchester model 71 (348 WIN). I learned to shoot with that rifle. It was also the reason why I started reloading. $85 for 20 rounds was a little hard to swallow. So now I can reload about 200 rounds for that price. It'll beat the stuffin outta you. Looks almost brand new. Not too bad for a rifle made in the 40s.
