  1. If you are referring to when you slam it closed, don't fire a round, then try to open (like when practicing), slightly push the forend forward then pull it back. When firing a live round, recoil does this for you.
  2. My own experience is that my lead level was over twice of the subject in the study. I believe that the reloading created minimal exposure. I started wearing a respirator style mask when shooting at indoor ranges and began wet tumbling. Other precautions include washing in cold water after shooting and getting clothing directly into the wash. My lead level is now under 7. I had my wife have her lead level checked at her last physical. Her level was negligible.
  3. 1. Dry Firing 2. Transitions 3. Movement (especially important as mobility issues increase)
  4. Congratulations Rusty Remington
  5. They could have backboarded her and carried her through the 30 inch door. Once had to backboard a 300+ pound woman and carry her upright down a spiral staircase.
  6. See if you can try a set first. My OMVs are short stroked as are a pair of backup Uberti's. I like them because it seems a bit easier on my arthritis, but it is definitely personal preference.
  7. Pokey Packrat, (aka Larry Waun), passed on earlier today peacefully at home with his loved ones. In the early days of the Johnson Creek Regulators, Pokey was instrumental in building targets, side match props and many other contributions.
  8. During pothole season. Roughly March 15 through November 15.
  9. During the season, I use non-chlorinated brake cleaner to clean out as much gunk as I can. At the end of the season, I still do a complete teardown removing the bolt, firing pin and extractor for cleaning.
  10. Most watched is probably Christmas Vacation because it's on every channel at the holidays. Favorite is White Christmas.
