I've slicked up a 410 from Yildiz for a pard's grand daughter and found it to be a very nice gun for the $$. Not too difficult to work on and very usable once done.

+1 on the Yildiz from Academy Sports. Less than $500 and not too difficult to slick up.

Do you still have any of the 15lb shorter springs that used to be included in the set?

I don't frequent the wire so I'm just now learning of this. So sorry for all you've both been through. Prayers for you and Schoolmarm for continued improvement and complete healing my friend.

Kitty and I have been fortunate enough to get to know them over the years. All great folks.

I'd be willing to bet the nurses took her bullhorn away from her and had to show how to work the Nurse Call button.
Get well quick Darlin!

The one pc mod features a single pc firing pin that extends through the firing pin extension as well as the bolt eliminating the extra "step" in the travel. Less mass to move so less energy required. On a stock setup the hammer strikes the firing pin extension which then impacts the bolt.(2 pcs between the hammer and the primer.)
It's kinda like taking out the transfer bar and modifying the hammers so the hammer directly strikes the firing pin on a Vaquero.

It's interesting the specs say it comes in a "black" finish yet the pics clearly show a stainless steel firearm.

The extra light can be too light to consistently set off non federal primers. If I remember correctly it is more designed for rifles with the one pc firing pin mod such as the one by Snake Oil George. I have this mod on my rifle and would highly recommend it.

Hey Larry,
I'll take them. Bring them to the Greenville Gunfighters match next weekend please sir.
Thanks,

I've used it frequently in my 38s for pistols, rifle and shotgun shells without any problems whatsoever. You gotta love all the smoke and fire.

I have not used the brands you mention but when I couldn't get Federals I started using CCI #400 and they've worked great.

I currently have 4 pair. Two pair of SS 45s, a pair of 38/357 blued and my favorites are 38/357 SS 4.62 bbls. I have big hands so they just seem to fit better.

Kitty and I are definitely gonna be there.

Judging by the primer pick up tube I'm assuming it was used for small primers?

Bump for a good Pard.

No problem! I'm sure Kitty would be glad to let her try out the model 100....just to see which she likes better. We wouldn't want you to buy the wrong one.

Bill, I hate to tell you but after Deb shoots the SKB one time you WILL be looking for another. I speak from experience. Just go ahead and start looking for a nice 100 and all will be well. Kitty loves hers from Fast Eddie and the Baikal is now our backup.
-
I started out with a dbl trigger Baikal but when a fellow posse member talked me into trying his SKB that was it. I never felt like the Baikal fit whereas the SKB seemed to fit perfectly. Regardless it made a big difference for me. Now the wife has started and I cut down the Baikal to fit her and had the triggers reversed because I wasn't sure how long she'd stick with the game and I didn't want to drop another $1500.00 until I was sure. Needless to say it didn't take long before someone let her shoot their SKB 100 and the Warden decided she must have her own...so now she does. To get to the point try a couple out whether it's the 100 or the 200 and see how they feel for YOU. Then buy what you like.

When my son and I first started I bought CAS factory ammo from GA Arms. 1000 pcs of 125g 38 spcl @ $260.00. By the time we went through our second case I picked up a Dillon and started reloading. The GA Arms ammo gave me the brass to reload and I'm still using it today. Also bought some 45LC from them as well. Nice folks.

I went out and spent a couple of hours walking the bays and parking lot but no luck. I did talk with the Range Master and let him know to keep an eye out for it. Hopefully it'll turn up.
