  1. That list looks eerily close to the one I was given by our high school Superintendent. kR
  2. Best way to fix that is buy and use an 87. And shoot it OUTLAW. kR
  3. Pick your facility and surgeon carefully it makes a major difference. kR
  4. Subscribe to the NMLRA magazine. You will eventually learn to bevel the hole that goes from the pan to the powder load in the rifle. It must be done correctly to ensure faster ignition of the charge. This cuts down on the amount of time you have for a "flinch" between pan ignition and the charge going off. There are a lot of small but very helpful tips that you will find in their publication. kR
  5. Been there when it was that cold in Lemmon. kR
  6. #4 and Cracked magazine. kR
  7. I quit working on Minuteman sites in 1965. Decided to take Uncle Sams guided tour of SE Asia. kR
  8. I like old guns. Used guns if they have someones name or SASS number on them it just adds to the story of the gun or item. kR
  9. That is the first response I had but resisted using it. I came back on today and was going to post it. Too late. kR
  10. I have a .45 that prefers 2f and a .50 cal Pennsylvania rifle that the most accurate load is 90 grains of 3f. The opposite of what is recommended for each rifle by the manufacturer. kR
  11. 1st time I firelapped anything I did 5 muzzleloaders in one trip to the range. It took a while but was worth it. kR
  12. Don't use a round ball. Use a lead bullet unlubed and no patch . Use 1/2 of a full charge. 4 sizes of commercial grade grit, 4 bullets with each grit. The rifle/bore is cleaned after every shot. Grit sizes are 400, 600, 800 and 1200. the reason for half loads is the fire lapping is then the full length of the bore that the bullet/rb travels when it is fired in normal conditions. It also make cleaning the bore much easier. Normally takes 1 or 2 patches as compared to 10 or more for a new bore. It also should cutt your group size by >50 percent. kR PS do not remove the breach plug.
  13. Firelap it the only professional way to do it. NECO industries sells the kit. Follow their instruction and don't take any shortcuts. kR
  14. I have had empty cases with live primers go thru 2 hours of wet tumbling and they went bang after they dried. kR
  15. That is pretty close to being on the ultimate level of sick and funny at the same time. kR
  16. If you want to get rid of the ethanol in gas just put a quart of water in a couple of gallons of gas and shake it up when it settles out the gas can be poured off the top. Water is heavier than gas. kR
  17. I posted a notice that I intended to sell at a shoot and it was deleted almost immediately. kR
  18. Depends on how many "pounders" they've had. kR
  19. I have a Ruger PCC and a TNW. I like the TNW better it is more compact and only weighs about 5 lbs. Both are 9 mm. and take the Glock mags. kR
  20. For folks that shoot long range that mark is called indexing and is used to orient the case in the chamber in the same place each time. Swiss does not respond to over compression as well as it could there is a limit. If you over compress it becomes inconsistent. When I shot long range I found that OE was a much better powder and would be more consistent with compression. kR
  21. The movement to Colorado from Kalifornia began in the mid 60's and the real residents of Colorado were not happy then. kR
