  1. too much technology sometimes messes up the works - but once in a while life prevails in spite of it , glad you got your knife
  2. this , its what keeps you alive and your teammates as well
  3. ive used a surveyors instrument in the past but since it is now well over 100 years old ive put it back in its proper display place , ive also used a high end scope in the past but they seem to find their way on a rifle at some point , i have a low end spotting scope that works OK , for mist of what i do , i have two telescopes but never thought to use them - they seem bulky and cumbersome to take to the range - id use the high quality binoculars before id turn to them , just my 2 bits
  4. most eputable shippers have measures in place to prevent this , apprehend the culprits , and prosecute beyond anything hunter biden can imagine - after all we are all regular people , not of that privleged class
  5. no - not at all , i made the switch a decade ago from the uberti to rugers and im planning to run these holsters till im dead , they work just fine
  6. hey , scarlett , how you doing these days ? ive still got to place an order
  7. after reading this thread im starting to wonder if BP is just too much trouble to enjoy , ive not had issues with mine but i dont shoot them for CAS
  8. use kentucky windage/elevation to determine where you need to aim to get your POI , or adjust your front sight [not what i recommend] to get your POI , its all about if your going to settle on a certain combination and stay with it , if you are one of those that are always tinkering dont alter your revolver - might want to see wjhat its doing in your rifle then determine where you want to compromise , ive always tried to maximize somewhere that both worked well then made my adjust, ments then stayed with the formula i felt i could live with , once set up , my railroader stays the same
  9. i knew of a set - they languished with the owner for years - he was asking $2300.00 for the pair , SASS consecutive set L & R , stainless and shiny , not my cup of tea , i know he no longer has them but i have no idea what he got for them ,
  10. dont sound fun - even if its a typo .,
  11. best avoid tulsa - i think there is a big gun sho there
  12. sure , that will be fine , there are a lot of shotgun powders and most of them will load your 45s and 38s too ,
  13. i dont practice as such exclusively with the 22 cal revolvers but yes i have a fair number - some full size that i do use at the range as a practice item , but not regularly , - im not that good a shooter , i do reload and have a fair backlog that i take to the range to shoot as 'practice' as well , that actually does me more good , if you dont reload start - buying your ammo loaded is going to be costly over the years
  14. that puts it in perspective - im old , i forget that sometimes , my parents were kids then and had they lived they would be over 100 now , i guess the 60s seem like yesterday to me sometimes ,
  15. i enjoyed getting to see all those , what great revolvers
  16. thats a bit startling when it sank in , 100 years old and still flying , i never thought about that before
  17. never thought of that , they do need a bit of dampness and we have been bone dry since december here till this snow last week ,
  18. ive noticed we have a lot of old worn ones in the closet as well - when i mentions it she says she might need them ............she wont , ill just have to live with the crowded closet floor
  19. i suppose , the cost of a new one in todays dollars might be staggering compared to the original cost ,
  20. sounds awful familiar .....but i dont rightly recall ,
  21. i think its "baby on board" but ill bow to any other , better , response , ive always had two wheel golf carts for my 3-dgun and SASS carts , but i used a 3-wheeler for sporting clays , all of mine have nul0n and vinyl , those modern gunrack holders , im lighter than most and im still carrying an umbrella , water , and ceegar stuff too , i do carry one extra stage of amo generally and a little cash if there is a brass picking kid to pay ,
