  2. one assignment in college involved cathedrals - i chose chartress , its an interesting study , not so much the layout - they are all similar , more the structural and décor , also the artwork ,
  3. hope your havin fun together ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
  4. OK , a boat can fit in a ship , ill buy that , but still begs the question in the end , im an inland water guy and i use boat but i know im wrong in some cases by the words of my deceased FIL who was a submariner and knew his boats and ships larger than my boat
  5. im not buying it but there will be those that do ,
  6. good one , in my book you qualify as an employee at least fot now but te longer we keep doing theur work the farther we get from that position , , accepted norm becomes the norm ,
  7. there have been a lot of crossovers over the years - the silver fox thought he was a rock and roll guy once with "what condition my condition was in" but far better as country , the stoned poney had linda ronstadt as a singer before she turned country , and there was the eagles and a few others that did so well in both arenas
  8. used tp hear a lot of solar flares and activity as it affected radio and TV signals but not so much in the age of new technology ,
  9. repeating the "well bye" from above , he got a pass from those that respected his football prowess back then as welkl as he racists crap we all see every day , but he was guilty and this will be discussed till hell freezes over , im ok with it as its never affected me but his victims deserved better ,
  10. i have always looked at these movies as Hollywood entertainment - exactly what its supposed to be - no truth , no reality , no reason other than entertainment , i like them so far but i think the sequels are starting to fade that unterest
  11. we have had very good luck with amazon deliveries except most of the drivers here are muslins and don't like the dog , they tend to leave the p[ackages closer to the street than the door - we do have a "bridge" from the walk to the door and i dont mind walking to the opposite end , i like my dog better than i do the delivery folks , these days m happy if they keep their distance - the send my wife a photo of where the package is - long as its not in the driveway , im ok with it ,
  12. most all shotgun powders can be converted to the pistol caliber loads but one has to do the research and development based on known similar burn rates and such , im not familiar with that powder at all , .but ill keep watching as i may find some in the future
  13. that might work ....not sure till i try it and i have nothing stuck at the moment
  14. interesting discussion , i have a lyman loader - not that specific one , but i also have one of these tubes i never knew what it was for - i hand prime most everything except shotgun these days , but now i know and think im able with what i have
  15. very nice brace of revolvers ,
  16. im now informed better on the caps than i was before thanks to this thread , , i appreciate it a lot folks , im not shure i even still want them but now i know more of what i want rather than the "no clue"] place i was in , kinda like spurs - ive always thought they might be fun , then i find out there are drawbacks id not considered i appreciate the open discussions ,
  17. i have bought a lot of stuff including a shipping box for my kentucky long rifle , everything has been satisfactory or excellent - ill be buying from them again
  18. im going to encourage the cleaning efforts that warden callaway suggested as it worked on my stoeger when i had some firing pin issues - i did not experience that opening failure but still seems a first approach to me ,
  19. interesting responses - i expected the 44s and would have expected some 38s ,
  20. im sure mine will go on to do great things , he is on the "deans list scholastically" and is a great tennis player for his high school team but this would have been fun for him and something he could carry on in , oh well , you can lead them to water but you cant make them drink , even if it might be god for them , i thought it something we might share but i guess ill pass without that shared experience - at least so far , if he decides to join me now he will be shooting my 45s or 38s instead of the 22s i bought him when he was born , may be they might come in handy for something else - i thought maybe covid but i never did that , - now that the ammo issues have started to recede i have it and dont need to use the 22s as substitutes so ............i need too shoot them for fun i guess
  21. according to what ive read some of these snakes can eat a small deer - thats gonna make for a real big poop , not sure why that surprises anyone short of never seeing it before , everything poops - some are real noticeable some seldom seen , its still there
  22. it depends on your weather , if it gets below freezing your not going to get the efficiency and if it gets below zero you better have backup heat , as to the A?C i think you will be fine , ive looked a geothermal the same way , i love the concept but they have their limits depending on where you are and what your conditions are , lots of things to consider
  23. ill admit we did not have wa wood stove as the main cooking surface as a kid nor did my grandparents , but we had a secondary wood stove in the basement that was used for heat and as a backup kitchen area when the family came for events , the cast iron surface was all hot - it was very hot , not one of my cousins ventured near it , thankfully - no one got burned , but a lot of great food came from it , and popcorn got made late in the day
  24. ive always thought [at least since the very early 70s] that coffee was mandatory in the morning , i generally stopped by mid morning , till i retired - now im not so concerned with my sleep patterns , i sometimes have it very late at night cause i get the hankerin ,
