Howdy Dawg,
If you have a pair of the Belt Mountain quick change pins I would like to buy them.

I'll take the last two bags shipped to 92277. Send me a PM with payment info please.

If these fit a 12 gauge, I'll take them!

I know you didn't ask about overall cartridge length, but this is another critical measurement in lever action rifles. I recently got a good reminder that '66s and '73s don't like ammo that is the wrong length. I loaded up a bunch of ammo and just crimped the bullets into the crimp grooves on the bullets. Unfortunately this made the ammo too short to function properly.
I shoot a number of dash caliber rounds (25-20, 32-20, 38-40 & 44-40) and the need to be 1.592" overall length to function reliably in a rifle. (Thanks again for the reminder Boothill Bandit)
Back to your original topic of chamber size in handguns, Ruger sent out a bunch of 38-40 Vaqueros with undersized cylinder chambers a couple of decades ago and would not resize them. Mine set came with .393" - .397" chambers. The 38-40 uses a .401 bullet, so my ammo would not fit in the chambers. I sent them out to a gun smith to get them corrected after Ruger shipped my guns back to me and told me they "were built to proper specifications".

I may be able to make you one. Let me check
Sedailia Dave,
I appreciate the thought, but that seems like a lot of work. I can make up something along the lines of what Yul Lose posted below if I cannot locate the factory part.

I bought a used Universal Charge Bar Model D/DS for the progressive MEC reloaders sometime back. I finally got around to installing it on my MEC 9000 and found that the Spring Retainer Screw was missing.
I know it's a long shot but maybe someone has one in the spare parts box. I have inserted a picture of the part I'm searching for below. The threads are 8-32.
Thanks for looking!

For those who remember Midway (Mark Effle), Corona Sportsmen's Club will be having a memorial for Mark at the range on Saturday February 17, 2024, at 12:00PM. Following a short memorial, we will have a reception for club members, friends, and family to gather and share some memories.
If you would like to participate in the shotgun sendoff, please bring your shotgun.
If you know you are coming, please send an email to president@coronasportsmensclub.com so we can plan for the size of the event.
Here is a link with a map to the range that is off Lake Matthews Drive and Gavilan Springs Road:
The dirt road is rough at points and not suited for vehicles with low ground clearance.

Can you just trim standard brass to the shorter length?
I'm sure it can be done, however most of my brass is loaded and I was hoping to avoid pulling bullets and punching out live primers in the resizing/reloading process.

I am searching for some of the .444 Marlin LEVERevolution brass that can be loaded with the Hornady 265 grain FTX bullets.
The longer ogive on these bullets require brass with a max overall length of 2.065" compared to the standard length of 2.25".
Please let me know what you have and how much you want for it.
Thank you!

I also have original WINCHESTER IN 45-60. Cut down 45-70 cases work fine in mine.
That is good to know I am loading these for a friend.

Texas Red sold me some brass, dies and donated some lead bullets! Thanks Texas Red!!
I'm still looking for some more 45-60 Winchester brass. There were a couple of different outfits that made this, but like a lot of things these days it appears to be out of stock.
I also need reloading dies and thought I would check here to see if someone has a used set they want to sell. It's for a friend's original 1876 Winchester and they head thickness on 45-60 brass is thinner than 45-70 brass so trimming down 45-70 and then trying to thin out the case head is not my first choice.
Thanks!

I had an original 1969 Camaro Z28 that I had never gotten around to restoring, so spent nearly 2 years doing a frame off resto mod..all state of the art modern parts except the original body and a few other key parts.... I bought it as a numbers matching original 302 Z28
It's entered in Hot August Nights in Reno this August.
Sixgun,
Your 69 Z-28 sounds like an awesome car!
I had a 1970 1/2 Z-28 in my early to mid 20's but traded it off. My youngest son now has an original 1971 SS/RS Camaro.
I am currently putting together the components to rebuild a 1969 302 Z-28 engine that I will drop into my 1972 El Camino. I have the block, pistons, crank shaft, solid lifter cam and a single 4 barrel intake manifold so far. I am looking for a factory dual quad manifold, but no luck so far. I have not decided if I will go with stock cast iron 2.02 heads or use aftermarket aluminum yet. In a world of LS swaps and computer controlled horsepower, I am still hooked on original small block Chevy engines and manual transmissions. My 1963 Landcruiser has a 327 Chevy engine.
Maybe I can make up to Reno in August. Hot August Nights looks like a fantastic event.
Best regards,
Ethan
