Good question. I am not familiar with Vermiculite. I don’t recall if I have ever seen it.

A lot of potting soils use it. It looks kinda like accordioned mica in eighth inch little squares.

But if it has asbestos in it, would it be dangerous to start a fire on top of it? Would that relief asbestos into the atmosphere, where you could inhale it and thereby give yourself lung cancer

That's why you should chew your food thoroughly and not inhale it.:P

  3. I could live without it at monthlies if the stage instructions and starting line were posted on the loading table for final review. I also like the starting line posted at the starting position. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly I forget the line and "shooter's ready" seems lame!

I have a printer but due to lack of use, the ink dried up/went bad...I'm not going to buy more for $50 (mol) just to print out...well, anything and then have it dry up again.

I've got an HP all in one printer and the cartridges are expensive. I tried the cheapos from Amazon for $20, the set comes with 2 large black as well. So far they work just fine and last forever comparatively. I haven't tried them for photo printing however.

  5. The biggest issue I've had with Amazon is when they give me a delivery date of lets say Friday. It arrives at my USPS distribution center on Saturday, a week early. They'll just sit on it til Friday. Even though I got a message it would be here early! Then on Friday I get another message informing they are sorry for the delay, but it is now expected on Monday! What the hell, you've been sitting on it for a week.

  6. I would definitely want one! I also save them all, but admit I have very rarely ever looked back at one. During the match I frequently refresh my memory to the sequence. If I had to print my own it wouldn't be the end of the world however so long as it doesn't change after publishing. Prefer it to be handed out at registration.

Scrap yards here in VT pay good money for brass cases but nothing for spent primers and they never say a thing about depriming them

Where do you take yours ORR? Although I have more weight in primers than brass!

  8. I'm amazed they don't lose more! At our local DG, you can stand there almost forever waiting for an employee to cash you out. They're usually God knows where stocking etc and apparently can't hear you ring the bell. Always wonder how many people just walk out with the goods. I've never seen more than 2 employees in our store at the same time! Even with the increased minimum wage, nobody seems to want to work anymore.

I am pretty sure I didn’t, but…actually, I don’t know how to do that. I probably knew at one time but some ridiculous song must have over written that knowledge.

At least on mine Pat, if you hit the three bars, click on activity, then "unread" content, the condensed/expanded shows just a little bit down, right above "past hour". Probably other ways to get there, but when I open the forum I'm bookmarked to go to "Unread Posts". If to were like Fathers first pic and now like his second, that's what happened.

I have this light. 10,000 lumens. 12 volts. Bright as hell.

You push the button and you get this 10,000 lumen light. You push the button again, expecting it to go off, and it goes down to 5,000 lumens. You push the button again, hoping that it will now go off, and it becomes a strobe.

I guess I should consider myself lucky it only has those three light patterns, and doesn't also have different colored lights.

But if I turn the light on and I wish to turn it off I got to push the button three more times.

    Do people like that?

I have a little pocket flashlight. Well, actually I've got a couple of dozen of them. Because they are so neat, and so inexpensive, that I just keep buying them and sticking them here and there and everywhere. And when you push the button the light comes on and when you push the button again the light goes off.

    Boy that's nice.

I got an ad in my email this morning for a rechargeable pocket flashlight, that has a high beam and a low beam and a strobe. Why?

The other day I was trying to do something and I didn't want to disturb anybody, so I had my little pocket flashlight kept in my hand, and it was on but barely any light was creeping out through my fingers. Let me see what I was doing without disturbing anyone. The equivalent of turning this 500 lumen light into a 50 lumen light, without adding a separate switch.

And in all the years I've had that bright light, I have never felt a need for the strobe.

Logic says that the idiots that make flashlights put all these features in them because either the customers want them, or the idiots think the customers want them.

So do you want multi features in your flashlight? Or do you just want it to turn on and off and make light?

I'm with you! I hate the ones that the sequence is opposite as well. Start with a strobe,3rd is normal, then off. I like on/off period.

That would have been very unusual in the Phone company I worked for and only a drop to an small apartment house, still generally in a small pipe. Thanks for the pic!
