I would be more concerned with the fact that they're all wearing rouge than that a couple of them are holding hands.

Pictures were a really big deal in those days.  They would be made up to look like the picture of health, thus the rouge for rosy cheeks.

The gun was probably a prop provided by the photographer.

  2. It depends:

The heat pump will heat the condo much more economically than the baseboard heater if adjusted to the manufactures specifications.

The cost/benefit ratio depends on how long before you sell the condo, your current cost of electricity, how much the electricity rates increase while you are there and the efficiency of the unit you install and I probably left a few things out.

The heat pump will heat the air it expells to about 80 degrees Farenheit.  This is probably warmer than you will ever want the temperature, but it feels cool to the skin, so your wife will be waking you up at 2:00 AM telling you that the heat pump is blowing cold air. You will not be able to convince her that it is working properly.  BTDT.

I have been using heat pumps since 1991 and I like them, but you may not.

  3. October 1966 the Tigers stepped off into deep stuff near Vi Than.

Lots of birds shot up and shot down, lots of casualties.

Martha Raye was at Soc Trang to do a show, but that night she worked as a nurse treating the wounded and donated a unit of blood ( I think that Jackie Kirk was the recipient ).  The night after all this she put on her show for us.

There is nothing that the Tigers would not do for her.  She deserves to be buried with her boys!, she was a class act.

    Red Green wasn't mentioned,huh.

I've always been of the understanding that it was called "duct", as tin knockers used it on duct work. They seemed to be only the ones to have it per se when I was a teenager. Then little by little it was everywhere.

You are correct. Although when we used it to hold our Hueys together in Viet Nam we called it "300 miles per hour tape" and we had a really strong paper tape that we  called "150 mile per hour tape."

I haven't bought any Klein tools since I retired in 2018. I did swap out a pair of dykes that developed a chip out of one of the cutting surfaces from just cutting a piece of #10 solid. I always bought the 2000 series Kleins along with every other Klein hand tool known to man. Although they supposedly had a no bs warranty on their screwdrivers, the supply houses around here would not exchange them if the had any beat marks on the top of the grip or melting/arc marks of any kind.

The Klein tools when I got into the trade in 1978 held up better than any of the newer stuff. I still have the 1st pair of Kleins (the kind that you had to heat up the red grips in water and pound them on) that were given to me by the owner of the 1st electrical company I worked for. They were used when I got them, duller than Joe Biden and the handles are about a 1/2" from touching each other from being squeezed so much while cutting wire and pulling fish tapes.

You are spot on about the Klein fish tapes, they suck. Ideal makes much better tapes and I was so glad that the stainless tapes came out. I recently went to a thrift store and picked up a 200' Ideal stainless tape in near mint condition for $1.00. I really don't have a need for it as I'm retired, but I couldn't keep myself from buying it.

I really need to sell all much of the tools that I have. I mean, when am I ever going to need 3/4" and 1" benders (I'll keep the 1/2"), let alone all of the Greenlee knockout sets up to 2", long 1" auger bits, hole saws up to 4" and a myriad of other stuff. Parting with them would be like saying goodbye to an old friend but I really should sell the stuff.

I know just exactly how you feel.

  6. The finest exhibition of control line flying that I ever saw was put on by two gentlemen flying Cox PT,19 trainers at Ft. RUCKER  in 1965. The flew simultaneously  and I'd loops, wingers, low passes and high, tight circles. How they kept from tangling their control lines I'll never know. They sure put on a good show.

  7. If you use 9mm Luger dies you can reload with 357 bullets and use the factory barrel. Mark it "9 mm Rimmed" so that someone doesn't  try resizing .360 bullets by firing them in it, that would cause a pressure spike! The .357 bullets will  work OK in your other guns for our game.

  10. Watching the games today I realized that I have been drinking the wrong beverage during the games.  I need a Big Orange Drink just like the ones that Deacon Andy Griffith drank at the first game that he attended.

I will  get some by next weekend.

  11. Khris,

I can identify with the loss of a dear friend all too soon and the job situation.

I can't say anything to help with the loss of your friend.  As a Christian I believe that he is in a better place, but as a human the loss is hard to bear.

As for the job one of my supervisors was such a jerk that his daughter would not allow him to attend her wedding.

His supervisor would give Operations the phone number of the bar that he was going to be in, tell us that he would be inspecting another part of the plant and depart.

I was once told to withhold information during a critique (I managed to work it in anyway)!

I can't tell you what to do, but I took a big financial hit to retire two years earlier than I had planned.  The Good Lord has looked after me and I have not missed the money as much as I thought I would.

The relief from the stress has been enormous.

Whatever you decide to do, God Bless You!  You are in my prayers.

    Duffield
