"I'm a fugitive from the law of averages."  Sure wish I had a picture of the shirt, but I don't.

Did you mean the quote from Bill Mauldin?

It’s often mis-quoted from the original:

I’m beginning to feel like a fugitive from the ‘law of averages’.

  2. Slow down.  Don’t bring that lever back before you feel it stop.  A shooting pard of mine had to have his stock shortened (he had shorter forearms for his height).  His rifle was a 92 but I can’t recall it’s mfg.  When he short stroked it, his  hammer would follow the bolt forward.

  3. it’s pretty beige around our ranges, Pat.

however, we do spray paint the steel targets black.

would leaving it white be good to go?  i thought we had to black out the white diamond of marlin rear sights so i figured a white front bead wouldn’t be allowed.

  4. looks like the young feller is a righty AND left eye dominant

    Isn’t 10/6 the same as 5/3?

A form of mercury was used to cure felt.  Hatters could get mercury poisoning from inhaling it’s funes over the course of their careers.

  5. I forget who it was that spoke on the wire about notching an old SP primer and sliding it onto their front sight blade but after this weekend's shoot I realized it was time.

I kept losing my sight pic.

Anywaze, I'm thankful for the bright idea.

Sorry for the poor phone-pic quality. (i didn’t get the dimple flattened up enough, so I temporarily used a drop of “white out” to even out the rear surface.  I’ll either take a silver or gold paint pen to it before the next match weekend.
