  8. If your bullet is able to spin in the case but cannot push in, I believe you are crimping too much. Readjust your die to just seat the bullet.. Should have some frition holding the bullet. If so adjust your crimp down untill you have 0.002/ 0.003 compression on the top edge of the case. Brass springs back after sizing slightly. Lead does not. It is possible to crimp enough the reduce the diameter of the bullet. Even uncrimped neck tension should hold the bullet in place Gook luck GW
  9. Regardless. Will be a great belt for whoever gets it
  10. Big Ed’s belts usually had red and blue stripes running the length of the belt. Was talking to him when ordering new belt. Asked about stripes. Told me a salesman sold him 100 yards of fire hose to experiment with. Later he called back to order more. When asked how much. He replied, I’ll take it all. When the truck delivered a mile of fire hose looks like? Great guy to do business and/ or talk to. Miss him. Gw
  11. Do you have a different brand of brass? A friend got a new batch of brass that was thicker in the rim that gave him a similar problem. Extractor maybe too tight to snap over. GW

    No advantage. No call. GW
  13. I don't have anything like what your asking about, BUT How about hanging a cardboard window from your ceiling on hooks. GW
  14. Hope they can get quality control better than their current revolvers. Seen several disappointing examples lately. GW
  15. Plus 1 for Savior cases. Very impressed with mine GW
  16. I havn't made any like that but I think a craft store would be better than Home Depot. Plus the girls are friendlier and better looking Leather shops like Tandy are getting hard to find. GW
  17. JWAG But there is ring around the mag tube under the forearm. It's a narrow steel band that looks like a lock washer. It cushions the forearm to help the action unlock. You have to remove the forearm to see it. Good luck More guesses to come and maybe a better explanation GW
  18. Might been interesting to try. The Church next door has a Black Walnut tree and the squirrels leave the empty hulls all over my place. Really a clatter when I find a bunch with my mower. GW
  19. Buying the brass catcher was good and bad. Not picking brass anymore BUT getting expensive because I don't have to pick brass anymore. GW
  20. Yes you can. Wanted to mount brass catcher (greatest device for PCC) and had to switch operating handle to left side GW
  21. Was sure interesting working at gas station back then. You didn't want to be "the guy" who had to ask where the gas filler was. Didn't see any mention of Ford's steering wheel with the horn ring built into outer ring of steering wheel. Too many inovations to remember Plus no Edsels GW
  22. Lefty Wheeler shows that he cuts a groove across the bolt so you can squirt your favorite cleaner and bow out with air. Always figured I would try that next time I remove the extractor from mine. GW
  23. Thanks, rechecked. I got wrong info. MCJ is right Damn that was hard to say GW
