15 grains Clays (can check which bushing if you need)
7/8 oz #7 shot in a grey Claybuster wad
STS hulls or Nitro 27 hulls
Remington STS 209 primer
near zero additional wad pressure, basically as wad is seated the measure barely moves.

This is all you need .
Summed up in one post lol !

I would recommend taking the gun apart and putting it all back together yourself.
Lots of presher and recoil in that little rifle in 454 .
My Brother has one and it shakes things loose in you & the gun every trigger pull 🤣😂

I'm a little surprised this topic didn't generate more discussion, because it seems to me an interesting one. My answer to the basic price query for "action jobs" would be $200 and up, because that's what I've found by searching the web. But, is sending a new revolver out to a specialist for $200-$300 worth of work (plus shipping costs) becoming a less common thing than in years past? My guesses it might be would include all the how-to videos on Youtube lead more folks to DIY solutions. Maybe the availability of excellent replacement spring kits? Are the Uberti and/or Pietta products just a lot better than in the past? More responsive warranty support? Market saturation of already slicked up used guns? Experienced local club members who can do good work? A combination of all those? I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts.
If your just wanted lighter springs put in . ( poor mans action job)
You dont need to send it out .
But if you need or want real gunsmith custom work done and parts tuning , filing on the trigger in sear , cutting down a barrel.
You would be smart to send it to someone who knows what they are doing.

The 1873 was the gun that won the west not the 94, cmon we all know that,
The 73 won the West .
The 92 won Hollywood.
The 94 won America's Heart .
The Winchester lever action was America's rifle .

I had a hell of a time whin I started loading 44WCF
( as do many ) with crushing cartridges .
Its a lot easier with the Lee Factory crimp die , Than it is with the regular seating crimping die .
I have learned how to do it over the years with the three piece die set .
But the four piece Factory crimp die made it much easier to stop crushing cartridges .

I use Unique and never exceed 4% .
Always put the smokeless in first.
But like already stated .
You can't fix stupid !
Im completely surprised this post has even gotten this far .
Do your own research.
Dont just think you know because you won't like the outcome.

Still don't see what the problem is.
Not that I really CARE, I shoot smokeless most of the time anyway. I just don't understand. I did experiment with the stuff out of curiosity, not at a shoot. It smokes. It creates BP levels of pressure. Fellow standing next to me at the firing range thought I was using black powder and thought it was "cool" as he'd never seen anyone use it before. I just don't get what the problem is.
I guess it's just one of those rules that are what they are that don't make much sense.
But let all that go.
I do remember reading here on the Wire once that when people complained that the Performance Center guns didn't work with black powder, Smith & Wesson was actually shocked that anyone would want to even try black powder in the guns, and by some accounts, that people would want to fire them in general as they thought they were making a "collector" piece. I found myself remembering how when somebody made a Roy Rogers commemorative rifle, and serial number 1 was given to Roy himself. He remarked how he was looking forward to taking it to the range to see how it shot to gasps of horror. He responded with words to the effect of what is the sense of owning a gun if you're not gonna shoot it.
I think he was right.
I did wright about this a year ago and moderators deleted my post because they said it was not safe.
I tried to dispute this fact because it was also done back in the day .
But they run this sight and I using there platform .
So it is what it is .

Life is to short to own ugly guns !
And a Glock is a Fugly Gun.
I would rather die and pass my SAA Colt down to my Grandson .
Then live 100 more years with only shooting and owning a Ugly ass glock 😳

At the expense of starting out in this game not counting if someone has never loaded Ammo yet or dont have loading equipment.
Shooting. 22's would be the least expensive way to draw a new shooter to the game .
Unfortunately some of us are dying off or getting to the point we can no longer Participate in the game.
It might be a way to draw in new or young shooter who has never been able to participate for whatever reason.
Rooster .
PS. I think it would be fun also .

You can pour that stuff on a F250 at 8pm and by 8am it will disappear lol
