You can always upgrade win or if you choose too . In the beginning you need so much stuff to start with . It can get overwhelming fast . You really dont need to be told you have to have the very best equipment to get your feet wet and even see if its something your going to continue to do . Rooster

Daniel you need to check to see if they both are actually bored out to fit 44 special . The last set I bought . One was bored to 44 special and One was only bored to 44 Colt and The special did not fit . Even though the barrel was marked 44 special on both guns . I had to send it back to Cimarron to be fixed under warranty. Rooster

From what I have read in the past is Yes. You can use 444 brass to make 410 . I load my own 410 brass and plastic hulls . You can buy used hulls online at Ebay or GB you can buy brass hulls too . I also buy 410 when ever I find them new and reasonable price. When Meijer store was stopping selling shells and gun stuff . And they was closing out 2.3/4 Slugs for 2.00 a box and they had a lot of boxes. I asked the manager if I give you 1.00 a box and buy everyone you got will you do that ? He said yes. Went in the back room and come out with a box of 80 or so 5 round box of slugs and them maybe 20 or so on the shelf. And I got them all for around 100.00 This was about 20 years ago now. And I still have some left lol I have three or four single shot 410's . One Henry brass lever action 410. And I had two Winchester 9410's That I bought around 2006 . But once Winchester went under they claimed in price a lot . I finly sold the Winchester's once they started selling for 1k . I could no long justifying keeping them anymore. When I bought them new around 300.00 each . Rooster

A new Cowboy wanting to play the game and the only advice he keeps getting is buy once cry once . You basically need to go spend your kids college fund to buy the very best guns and equipment available today . Or you will never have fun or any success at this game !

I use on of Bill's Carrie's in my 66 44 special. Now I can run 44 Russian . I load and shoot the same load as the original flat rimfire 44 cartridge.

I have two of them in 44 special One in 5" I shoot . One is 7.5 Blued Unfired. My ( Matt Dillon ) gun. It was one of my holy grail guns for a long time . My other one , that has been on achievable so far. Is a Uberti Henry 1860 Military in 44 Special. I have a Smith shop Carrier for it to run 44 Russian. Loaded with Black Powder and a 205 gr bullet. Would be as close to Original Henry 1860 Rimfire 44 you could ever hope shoot .

I have a Remington 1875 Outlaw 44-40 Its got the stock wood grips on it. I know very little about these guns. Im assuming the 1875 & 1890 grips are interchangeable? Im interested in this . Rooster
