Vary rarely do you have a failure.
But its a good excuse to tell the wife why you need a backup for your backup so you have a extra backup to loan to a Pard who broke his backup 😳
Then there is different barrel length too 🤔

Maybe a dumb question.
But if it's wanted so badly.
Why won't they make it ?
If something is in such a demand why would you stop making it ?

Ah, the Buntline Special!
My first one is a .44 Special.
As you can see, I usually pair it with a Sheriff's Model, which leads me to being very confused!
The holster is technically a crossdraw, but I didn't like doing the twist. I found that wearing it strong side allows me to pull it back, and not straight up, for an easier draw.
Better image...
And here's the Buntline with both of my Sheriff's and a New Frontier thrown in for giggles. All are .44 Special, the Sheriff's also have 44-40 cylinders.
I suppose my Big Iron is technically a Buntline, but I already posted a pic of that.
That's a beautiful set of 44's.

I just got done working on my Stainless Vaquero in 44 Special
VIDEO:
Very Nice .
I checked out your channel.
And subscribed to your channel.
I also have a channel.
BigRooster616 on YouTube.
I put a set of Super Blackhawk hammers on my FlatTop 44 Special Blackhawks also .
They feel very good now.
Much better for one handed shooting .
Ruger has a little plunger under a Allen screw by the hammer that you can pull out to give you a free spin cylinder.
I love the 1/2 cock you added to yours .

Here is a video
of some African Water Buffalo Stag Grips I put on my Old Army.

Thanks! This is now a very special gun since the guy I called and I have been friends for a loooooong time and He's like a brother to me. The fact that I found a gun of such limited production that he ALSO owns is almost a lotto thing! He's a big .44 spy fan too!
Like I said .
I also collect Ruger guns .
Everyone knows im a 44 Man .
For years I wanted a Ruger Three Screw 357 Converted to 44 Special.
They were very hard to come by .
And only a couple smiths was doing them back in the day.
So When Ruger decided to come out with the FlatTop guns in 44 special .
I ordered a pair of them .
Before they even got rounds threw them .
Ruger announced they was making 500 SS New Model Vaquero 44 specials .
So I ordered two of them .
Two weeks later.
Ruger announced they was going to also make 500 Blued New Model Vaqueros in 44 Special .
So Yep I ordered two of them .
Then they sold so good and fast that Ruger put them into production for a wile .
So I went from wanting a three screw 357 converted to 44 special to owning 3 different pair of 44 special Rugers .
And Originally they all sold for 350.00 a gun !
I bought 6 guns in less then 4 Months .
I have a New Haven Arms Co. 1866 carbine in 44 Special .
Then one day a 66 Cimarron 24" Rifle in 44 special
Come my way on the wire.
Very rarely you will see a 73 in 44 special anywhere for sale .
Last year a 20" Cimarron Short Rifle 73, In 44 Special showed up on the wire for sale.
So yep , I jumped on it !
I said to myself , Self how lucky you was to find a rare Cimarron 73 in 44 special rifle for sale on the wire .
A week latter ! A Cimarron 24" 73 44 special Rifle, Showed up on the wire for sale !
I said WOW ,
This is crazy to have this rare 44 Special caliber available agin.
So ? I bought it too .
Then the same day I got a message from GB .
A 19" US Marshall Carbine in 44 Special was listed for sale on GB.
And Yep . You Guessed it .
I bought it too.
I dont even know how many other sets of 73 Colt style hand guns and Opentops I own In 44 Special.
I know , I own enough 44 Special's ,
Im never switching to a different caliber to start collecting . ( lol )
I can't afford to switch 🙄
PS.
I even have a Uberti S&W No.3 American in 44 Special and a Uberti No.3 S&W Russian in 44 Special/ Russian

Best reason in the world for not using "non-lethal weaponry".

I found my this New Vaquero and I noticed the scroll mark on the side just said Vaquero ( No New in front of it) and then I noticed that it was chambered in .44 Spl. I know just enough to k ow this was unusual since the Old Vaquero was chambered in .44 mag!
I called my buddy who’s my resource on EVERYTHING Ruger and in 2 seconds he gave me the history of the gun, if I remember correctly only 500 were made in the “New” frame with the old mark, and said that if I wasn’t buying the gun he was AND he already has it’s twin! The two guns are only a few serial numbers apart too, probably left the factory the same day. Needless to say I walked out of the store with it in my hands 😎
That's very cool !
Im jealous.
