I have to admire all you dark side people! Although I have considered it, it's way too much work for me. I'll just stick to using it in my Hawkin rifles.

I'm registered and all set to go! Looking forward to it.

I would think two misses and a P. Nowhere in the instructions does it say you can reengage a missed bottle target. He missed a pistol bottle target so that's one miss. He missed a rifle bottle target so that's a miss. The P comes in when he reengaged the missed rifle bottle target. As for the fallen rifle bottle target he should have just shot at where it was, and then he wouldn't have had an extra rifle round. The instructions above say to engage the 5 pistol & 10 rifle bottle knockdowns and standing bottles remaining are misses. The instructions do not say to engage the bottle knockdowns until all are down and put the remaining rounds on the dump plate. I agree that the stage instructions are vauge and the stage wasn't set up very well if a pistol miss can hit a rifle knockdown.

I've been using 125 grain bullets in 38 Special, and 100 grain bullets in 32-20 for years. Never had a problem knocking down a target, and they are less expensive as compared to 158 grain bullets.

Here are my 20 ga. loads. I prefer the WSF powder for normal use. The 3/4 oz using Unique were lighter loads for my wife.

Howdy Mikey..A lot of stupid laws down-under in relation to gun ownership...the word auto or pump straight off scares 'em, but you can have them for clays with an endorsement on your fire arm license.. the pump action shotgun is not allowed for single action, wild bunch or others. The crazy part is you can own a pump action rifle in any caliber.
Further a pistol license can only be up to a .38 [ revolver or auto ], above that is another endorsement...all pistols can only be used for competition & there is a minimum range attendance requirement for each year. A handgun & longarm license in my state of Queensland is nearly $ 300 for 5 years, further you pay around $45 for a 'permit to acquire' for each gun that you purchase. No limit on how many guns you can own although they do try to knock people back for petty reasons, gun & safe checks are carried out by the police with appointments to suit each party[ must admit I've never had a gun check in over 20 years- did have a safe inspection in '08 ] Professional feral animal hunters can have auto's, mostly those shooting out of choppers.
That's just a bit of info to give you the idea of what it's like down here , enough to make you sick I reckon !!!
Cheers 'Mohawk
Thanks for the explaination Mohawk. I guess politicians are the same worldwide making feel good laws that defy logic.

Not all states have approval to shoot WB, & some shoot it under the name of Mexican Stand off or Rosevelt , but still WB,,,87's used in place of the banned 97 [ or SXS ]... 1911 45's are allowed...never really thought I'd partake myself but ended up getting all the gear & have a shot when the mood gets me
Interesting......just out of couriosity why is the '97 banned in Australia?

Many years ago I bougth a brand new Winchester Legiondary Frontiersman commemorative at an auction. Loaded up some cartridges using .375 jacketed bullets. That thing shot all over the place with keyholing. I called Winchester to ask them about the bore size and they wouldn't tell me anything having to do with that. I slugged it and found it was .377". Bought some .379" cast bullets with gas checks and never looked back. It became quite accurate. Won a few big bore matches with it. Starline has brass now and then. It's up for backorder right now which means you have a good chance of getting some rather quickly.

Get a set of snap caps.
Pit them in the Barrels, pull triggers put away.
Doing it with snap caps takes tension off of springs.
Don't snap them without snap caps. If you do will mushroom firing pins.
+1 What he said....

Yes you can ship the 58’s direct to his door and the conversion cylinders in a separate shipment to his door.
Yep what Yul said. An FFL friend of mine told me once that as long as the cap & ball cylinders are in the pistol you can ship the whole pistol direct to the purchaser as they are considered antiques. The conversion cylinders shipped separate are not considered a firearm and can ship direct to the purchaser. If you ship the cap & ball pistol with the conversion cylinder installed in them they are considered a regulated firearm and must go through an FFL in the state being shipped to. At least that is what I was told a few years ago unless something has changed since then.

I have two Marlin 1894's in .357 Mag. I shoot 38 Special in them. Both were very picky in what they would reliably feed. After a lot of experimenting I found that they did not like TC truncated cone style bullets at all. I load 125 grain .358 diameter Round Nose Flat Point bullets with a casing AOL of 1.380". They have functioned reliably in both of my rifles for quite a years now.

Today I feel like a kid on Christmas morning. For over two years I’ve been waiting for a chance to buy some 32-20 brass. Two weeks ago I got emails from Starline and MidwayUSA that they had limited availability. Yesterday 700 pieces of brass arrived between the two. Now I have some reloading to do.

It might work, but it will be close. The 30-30 has a rim diameter of .506" and the 410 has a rim diameter of .535". The rim thickness is about the same between the two. The extractor may catch the 410. The OAL of a loaded 30-30 is 2.550". The OAL of a 410 is 2.5" loaded and around 2.75" after firing. A 410 in 2" size should work if the extractor can catch the rim.

Looking forward to it!

32-20 in stock at Midway. Two 100 piece bag limit.

I was able to back order 500 pieces. Took two years of waiting to get the email from them.

Costs me about $7 a box these days. Maybe I can find some store bought shells a little cheaper, but I've been loading shotgun shells for 55 years and I enjoy the relaxation in doing so.

I've heard a lot of good things about the 9422 over the years, but I have to tell you, my only experience with one was not too good. I bought one for my son somewhere back around 1990. It was a beautiful rifle. However that thing couldn't hit the broad side of a barn door if you shot it from the inside of the barn. I messed with that rifle for months trying all kinds of different brands of .22 LR ammo. Best I could do was a 3" group at 25 yards. I eventually traded it in for a bolt action that was very accurate, and he still has it to this day. I thought about buying another 9422 but I can't see paying the price they want for them these days. I have a Henry that shoots great that I use at local matches in the 22 Rimfire class a couple times a year.

Thank you for the anecdote. Was the installation due to a broken pin or did you install them as an upgrade?
Thanks for the advice, all. I think I’ll keep an eye out for a used Stoeger to pop up somewhere.
I just installed the firing pins as an upgrade after reading on a few posts that it was recommeded to do so.

I can only speak for the Stoeger SxS. I have three, two in 20 ga., and one in 12 ga. I've had them all for over 10 years, and never had a problem with any of them. The only thing I ever did to them was install stainless steel firing pins.

I have a set of Taylor Uberti pistols, and 3 rifles, original Win 92, Browning 53, and Uberti 1873, in 32-20. I shoot them often and enjoy them very much. That old folk tale of shooting the 32-20 and having to wait for a faint ding on the steel is just that an folk tale unless you are shooting mouse fart loads. The factory ballistic performance of the 32-20 with 100 gr bullet (1200 ft/sec & 325 Ft lbs of energy), and the 38 Special with 125 gr bullet (1000 ft/sec & 275 Ft lbs of energy), are almost identical. The problem these days is you can't find new brass. Luckily I bought some before the shortage and still have about 1200 rounds of new brass left along with about 300 rounds loaded.

I've been loading and shooting 20 ga. for years. My go to powder is WSF (Winchester Super Field), 16.6 grains (#16 MEC bushing), Claybuster CB1078-20 7/8 oz wad, Cheddite primers, and #8 shot. Very nice load easy on the shoulder.

Wow $289 for a set of dies to load brass shotgun shells! Not to mention the price of brass hulls if you can even find them. I think I'll stick to plastic hulls and a standard MEC 600 JR.
