  1. Mine were done 6 month's apart. Worst eye first. Had to have'em remove the lens from my glasses on the right side as the old correctives were driving me nuts. Wore those glasses that way until the second surgery

  2. Mine were done in '14. Amazing the difference in the world's colors, not to mention being able to drive without glasses if I had to( don't ask me to read the gauges without'em though). Only thing my distance scrip does is correct astigmatism, the progressive part covers reading.Insurance only would pay for a certain type of replacement lens

  3. Don't feel bad Miz Mary, I was making peanut butter pies last night, had the first one in the fridge and was getting stuff for the second out when,PLOP!, the first one slid out and landed upside down(Of course). After a few well placed expletives I cleaned it up saving what I could. The dogs helped clean up most of the rest. Only one of the two is going to make the trip. Thought of the term the punkin chunkers use when their missile disintegrates.........PIE! :(:blink::lol::blush:

  4. I've got two one armed females here at the moment, one tripped going to the neighbors, broke her arm in six places and will have to have an elbow replacement after the first of the year. The other fell on ice at the church Monday morning, spent 4 hours at the E.R. with her. Turned out to be just serious sprain. Left there with a brace on the wrist and some serious pain killers. Myself, i went down at the sewer plant Saturday morning. Pretty icy down there. just bruised in a few places this time. Me and the aspirin bottle have gotten pretty cozy.:blush:

    Take care ,Jim.

  5. Winter's been here for a few weeks now. We had freezing rain Fri. night into Sat.. Have already had my fill of chipping ice off the drive, not to mention all the salt we've already used on the streets here. We ran out Friday,of course. Shipment didn't get here, truck broke down. We've been cadging the bags that were solids to at least try to get some for the walks in the public areas :(:blush:

  6. @012 Kia had to have the glove box removed to replace the cabin air filter. The 016 one we have now, you just pull out a drawer. Never had an issue with TPMS changing tires. Just the usual change in air temp issues, they never tell you which ones low either. Son has an 012 Mazda that requires 0W-20 oil, synthetic only, no substitutes. At least with our Kia's, we can use Syn blend or full synthetic :blush:
