I've got two toast dogs, Miz Mo. Squeak and Chloe just have to have some when I do breakfast with my morning paper. Chloe makes sure by jumping into my lap and covering my paper until she gets some.

Our cat ( Snowball) invariably will get up on your lap if you have something dark on. The darker the better.

Dirty Dog's post reminds me of our Sadie girl when she was a pup( dachshund). She would get up on the dash of our motor home when I was driving it. Her sister would go lay down behind the dining table

Yeah, ours will retreat to the neather regions of the house to get away from the vacuum cleaner or the rug scrubber when we use them.

Wife comes home from sitting duty, I've got supper started, Chloe thinks it's play time. Squeaky toy goes bonkers, gets thrown all over the living room, and is soaking wet by the time supper hits the table. That little girl is hell on squeakers. Most of them last only about two or three weeks at best.

Just had the dogs out for potty break. Chloe went down to the curb with me to put some trash in the can( pick up day). She decided she wanted to go for a walk, got about two house down the street when the dogs in residence there( fenced in yard, no view to the street) started barking, plus, the owner came out to put something their can. I said hi and tried to shift Chloe's leash to my other hand when Chloe decided she didn't like the other's barking and high tailed back up the street. He ears were pulled back and her tail( usually curled up over her back) was flat on the ground back of her legs. I had dropped the leash in the attempted transfer and had to follow her back up the street. She went back up our drive and didn't stop until she pretty far up the drive. At least she knew where her safe place was

Slept in this morning, got woke up by a tongue in the ear. Guess  Chloe wanted to go out and go potty

When I was a wee tad at home our first dachshund could really cut down the forest! His bed was under the kitchen table and had an old pillow case over the mattress. He'd crawl under the case and lay on his back and just snore to beat the band

Cold Lake, Those chihuahuas look like our Squeaker when I try to get him up to go out. He's a grumpy,arthritic, old man and he gets really nasty when I disturb him. Lucky for me he's now a gumby. He can pinch/gum me,but normal bite. Now the claws are another story. He likes to trim them himself if he can and it leads to some sharp edges. Gives me some free test areas for my sugar.

Our Chloe loves to throw her toys in air. I've found them behind the couch, on the couch, on the love seat, on the end tables, and, a new one for her this week, on the TV/fire place stand!
