We had a Rifle Club at Morris Hills HS in NJ back in '71. We shot Army surplus .22's in the school basement 50-foot range, where they kept the rifles in a locker. We shot against HS teams with actual target rifles and nice shooting jackets. I had a tan Army shirt with my NRA Marksmanship patches on it. We never won, but I would place near the top. New Jersey seems to have changed in 50 years.

With all of the Westerns that I've watched, I've never seen the Grim Reaper in the background! Camera angle, I guess. The director didn't want to pay to use his image (the price was WAY too high), so he's never shown. This is a great shot of how the winner is determined in a shoot-out.

Well, Texas tried that, but the visitors started selling piranha tacos with onions and cilantro. Then, the Texans started slow-smoking the piranha over mesquite. Served with sliced onions, jalapenos, and sauce. Watch out for the bones. They finally over-fished the river, and now the piranhas are gone. I'm just funnin y'all....

Sounds like here in Texas! They've been trying to keep out North-bounders from South of the Rio Grande for years, but most attempts have been unsuccessful! Or met with opposition. Are y'all allowed to shoot rabbits and dingoes? Just wondering...

Sounds like here in America! Texas scoundrels mastered that technique many years ago. Texas needed roads. Brown and Root built roads. Everybody in Houston worked for B&R at some point, on one project or another. Times were great!

This is ingenious! It allows you to apply torque in line with the lug nuts! You can step on the handle, and it applies a lot more torque than a regular wrench! I would want to fashion a base plate, so it doesn't sink into the Houston sand and mud. Mud? We haven't seen mud in a month and a half!

Here's the map for the Texas World Tour. Paris to Italy to London to Praha to New Ulm to Liverpool to Moscow to Geneva to Naples to Athens. 1233 miles, or about 20 hours of driving. Most Texans could make it in about 15 hours or so. I excluded Odessa, which is out in West Texas. Named the same as a city in Russia. Not to be confused with West, Texas, home of the Czech Stop, with the best kolaches in Texas! It's at Exit 353 on I-35. Tell them Brazos John sent you.

You could have also gone to Praha (Prague). And Dublin, for an original Dr. Pepper. And New Ulm for the painted churches. And Geneva, Liverpool, London, Moscow, Naples, Athens, and a couple of others. Texas is so dang big that we ran out of common American names, so we went to European city names. Then, when we ran out of those, we got creative. Dimebox, Nameless, Uncertain, Gun Barrel City, and my favorite, Cut and Shoot. Here, hold my Lone Star and my Colt, and we'll come up with some good'uns!
