Sen Bill Nelson from Florida talkrd about needed gun control within an hour of the incident.
But here's the worst of it. The shooter apparantly retrieved his weapon from his checked baggage after landing and opened fire.
This, if true, may mean the end of flying with firearms for all of us!

The delay caused because Santa Ana wouldn't bypass the fort was actually pretty important to the Republic.
But, jerk or not, the stand was a brave damn thing. Anyone who has visited the Alamo would be ill advised to call any of the defenders jerks.

Good advice, but I hope the 30x30 is enough to replace the old shop. Most of the wheelers and such already have a place indoors, plus a very large hay barn I built years ago. I am thinking of having this one built instead of me and myself knocking it out this time

When I'm heading to the last roundup I hope they put a half full glass next to the bed.You do quite a good job of that, and keeping a level head. It is much appreciated.

Ft Lauderdale Airport shooting brings immediate cries for gun control

Sen Bill Nelson D-FL spoke of "needed legislation" within minutes of the shooting.
It appears now that the killer had a legally checked firearm in his luggage and flew in from Alaska. Upon landing, he retrieved the weapon and loaded it while in a restroom, then emerged and began firing.
There will be a push now to ban firearms from checked baggage completely! This would be a game changer for shooters travelling to events or hunting trips via the airlines!
