I shoot 45 colt, and load my own, so I'm not worried about high pressure.

You will get a LOT of opinions on the 66 or 73. IMO you need to get the one that you like the best.....there isn't any major difference in the guns. Many folks freak out that it doesn't have the lever safety like the 73 but they are not un-safe. The manufactures only make them in 38 for that reason but the 73 are 38/357.
