I. Was doing really well working out every day and losing a little weight every day then my left hip got much worse. Once I slipped on ice and something clicked in my hip. About a week later I was walking on uneven ground to change my target. I had a misstep and BAM! My hip felt like fire and pain. My workouts ended as did regular motorcycle rides. 4 weeks ago I went on a ride and hit some bumps and my leg hip rattled like a worn out tie rod end. That was the last time I rode. Monday I am having my left hip replaced. YAY!!! I am looking forward to it. I am currently 280 +/- a couple of pounds. It seems I drifted right back up to the weight I was before I started working out. Any,I am hoping to get back to a regular exercise routine once my doctor says it’s okay. I have to say @Crazy Gun Barney, SASS #2428 you should be very proud of your accomplishment. Losing a lot of weight is such a tough row to hoe. Did you notice how people will say “Oh my, you look so good. You look like you lost some weight. Would you like some of this cake I just baked? The cream cheese icing is just so good. I out did myself.”? I swear, even my wife will do things like she did the other night. She brought me home a bag of Twix bars. I said “Babe, why did you buy me this? I am trying to keep weight off for my surgery.” ”Oh, I know. You’re doing such a good job. I thought you deserved a treat.”

Since I stopped CAS I actually think I shoot more now, just not in matches or competitions except for .22 Benchrest. I shoot that once or twice a month. I tried shotgun sports and turkey shoots. I have zero interest in shotgun sports. It just doesn’t trip my trigger - PI (pun intended) I think I would enjoy IDPA again if there was a match nearby besides the A’hole rifle club near me. Nearby = <50 miles.

@Dapper Dave I was a Glock guy. They’re all gone now and now I have 2 Sig Sauers. Soon to be 3 or more. I tried a CZ75. Didn’t care for it. The same goes for the Browning Hi-Power. I do like my CZ 457. I am considering getting a CZ 457 Varmint MTR. With the right ammo these things can be very accurate. The best ammo I have found that my CZ 457 shoots best is SK Semi Auto Rifle. It runs about $8 / 50 rounds. For plinking fun CCI Std. Velocity is very accurate 80% of the time. There always seems to be 2 flyers in every 10 rounds. By “flyers” I mean 2 rounds hit about 1/2” away from the 8 round cluster at 50 yards.

I like the looks of the CZ 600+ Lux. i never really considered CZ rifles until I bought a CZ 457 Stainless .22. I’m very happy with it.

We have a few squirrels that show up to help remove the peanuts and corn I put out for the jays, crows and deer. I think it’s interesting that the squirrels here aren’t as destructive as the squirrels in North Carolina and SoCal.

It wouldn’t be the first time the Air Force denied their participation in strange happenings. I wonder. Were any big heists committed during the time of these shattered windows?

Today I was talking with a guy that said he has 4 different Black Bears hanging around on his property. He said these are the first bears he has seen in years. It seems the bear populations are increasing in some areas.
