  3. I thought it looked more like this…but we all know they both say the same thing.
  4. The Marines are changing their marksmanship standards. Good! https://www.shootingillustrated.com/content/marines-ditch-100-year-old-marksmanship-standards/
  5. Now that would be a crock.

  8. They won’t. They’re usually too self absorbed or stupid to function as a free citizen if they came from the cities. I ask people point blank what their politics are if they say they’re from NY or CA or I see that they are. Often I get the response “I am a Conservative. I hated living in (fill in the blank)” Every time I say “Well, I am new fairly new here myself, but I vote Conservative. Welcome to ‘Almost Heaven’.” I met a guy at my gun club that was born and raised in NYC. He claimed he hated living there but because of his job he couldn’t leave. I asked him what he did. He owned a glass fabrication company. Then he said he tried numerous times to leave NYC but making the move would have been a hardship on the company and he said he had contracts with city agencies that more or less required him to stay within the NYC area. He seemed like a really great guy. He let me try out one of his rifles and he spotted for me when I was trying to dial in my scope. He said he was very conservative. I can identify with that gent. I lived in CA 26 years of my adult life. I felt like I was living behind enemy lines living and working there. Not everyone that has a CA or NY plate is a D’bag. Oh, almost forgot. I am polite to people that are from NY l, CA or a typically Blue state, regardless of politics. I don’t want to give them a reason to want to move here though.
  9. That’s because Google is run by Elitist Socio-Communist scum. So is Yahoo, but the Yahoo commies are just Commies.
  10. Ah, I see. When I saw your post I thought you knew about for 10 days and just forgot to act on it. Do you use Yahoo? Several emails I received from Gun Broker mysteriously showed up in my Spam folder, not my inbox.
  11. 10 days? Did you reeeeeeally want it? I have pretty much given up on Gun Broker. There have been a few revolvers that I really wanted but I just couldn’t bid higher than what I set my limit to be at the start of my involvement. I was starting to wonder if the system is rigged, but decided that since Murphy is my guardian angel he probably has more to do with my sad luck on these auctions than any corruption or conspiracy.
  12. Dayum! I guess this climate change thing will blow your socks off…and the rest of your clothes…roof, siding, barns, fences…etc.
  13. I mistakenly used the wrong photo earlier. Here’s the correct one.
  14. We don’t have an “Oooh & Aaaah” smiley. That knife and sheath looks great.
  15. My original intention after leaving Oregon to go back to LA to do another light rail start up was to successfully kick off the light rail system, keep it rolling for a few years then retire in 2025. The over the top dumbassery that I dealt with on a daily basis was just too much. At work. Outside of work. Everywhere I went. In the Fall of 2021 I decided I’d had enough. I retired 3 years early. I took a hit on my retirement income, but I didn’t care. I honestly believed that if I stayed there on that job it would have been the end of me, one way or another. I still mentally kick myself real hard every so often for going back to that s*** hole…then I look around at where I live and grin like a fool and drop what I had just been thinking about. It’s beautiful here. Lots of really great people. Gorgeous scenery everywhere I look. It is ‘almost heaven’. What were we talking about?
  16. Married With Children! Right?
  17. I remember her…from somewhere on some show… Was it that stupid show with the idiot guy with the hot New Jersey type Goomba wife and the hot teenage daughter and the goon boy son?…
  18. As of few months ago our plan was to go to Texas and meet up with my daughter, son-in-law, grandson and my son-in-law’s parents to view the eclipse. At Christmas time we found out those plans changed so we wouldn’t be headed to Texas. So, my plan became that we would wait until a week before the eclipse then see where it would be sunny and head there for the eclipse. I got my telescope ready with a proper filter. I bought eclipse glasses and filters for binoculars and cell phone lenses. Well, my choices for the eclipse, Upper Sandusky or Carey Ohio or Erie, PA are now going to be cloudy with a chance of rain. So, I will not be wasting gas or money on food or lodging. Maybe I will hit the range in the morning and if it’s not cloudy I will watch the partial eclipse in the afternoon.
  19. “I want the people to know that they still have two out of three branches of the government working for them, and that ain't bad.”
  20. PC Morons claim man made global warming caused climate change. These same morons put up solar panel farms which have been scientifically proven to cause temperature hot spots all around the solar farms where these panels are set up en masse. These solar hot spots affect wildlife and birds. Solar panels seem to magnify heat upwards. Most of those canals made for water to be delivered to the scummy cities are in high desert regions which get very hot for at least 5 months a year. Now those areas will be even hotter around the canals and solar installations. Who wants to bet that in a decade there will be a strange life threatening super bacteria or fungus that has mutated from something benign that lived in the water and on the canal walls that were once cool but now run warm through the canals due to heating from it’s environment. (Long sentence)
  21. I am not a real religious guy, but the first thing I thought of when I discovered John Wick was yet another comic book character brought to life on the big screen was this: When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 1 Corinthians 13:11
