Since U.S. Navy ships have been rammed, bombed, hit by missiles and targeted the U.S. Navy doesn’t put up with sh**bags any longer. When I was in the Navy, off of the coast near certain African & Mediterranean countries, we manned Ma Deuces and M60’s topside until we were out of the conflict area. Our orders were “If a boat gets close fire a few rounds across their bow. If they don’t turn away or if you see weaponry, light them up.” The term “close” was 100-200 yards. If the vessel was a ship we went to GQ and pointed guns and missiles at them. We never had any serious issues. We did have a boat off of Oman that just wouldn’t heed warnings until my partner popped a dozen 7.62 rounds into the water ahead of the boat. They turned and waved a white flag yelling something about needing fuel. We launched a motor whaleboat and took them fuel. I was aboard with an M14. My buddy had a Remington 870 and of course we had backup from the ship. These guys were running on fumes. We gave them 10 gallons of JP5 and went back to the ship. No incident except for the paperwork the guy manning the M60 had to fill out for firing a weapon. You never know the intentions of boats approaching a ship or hanging out near a ship.

If you do a search for “African watering hole live stream” you can look at numerous sites with live stream cameras. It’s currently night time in Africa where I was looking at several cameras but you can occasionally see animals at night visiting the watering holes. During the day there’s more activity. Thanks J-Bar. I was watching a rattler slowly move out of camera shot when the camera zoomed out and moved. I guess someone was monitoring it and panning around looking for more snakes in range of the camera. Thanks for the link. I saved it to favorites.

Probably overheated the batteries possibly by sending a broadcast page with a huge stream of numbers. The pager goes into overdrive capturing the number stream and the battery overheats and explodes. That’s just a guess. I have no idea if it’s possible.
