Constitutional Amendments
Pat Riot replied to Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967's topic in SASS Wire Saloon
I agree 100% I used to think term limits was a bad idea then one day I realized Congress is run like a Union. Seniority gets the perqs and the cushy offices. Also, I watched one Congressman in particular go from an honest, decent, principled man to a lousy underhanded money grubbing POS in 3 terms. Anyone that says term limits are in the voting booth is delusional or has bought that line of crap hook, line and sinker. Because if it worked it would have worked already. Who are the people in Congress that say term limits won’t work? The people in Congress! -

You should be glad we aren’t in the same room.

Would you let someone try on your wedding ring?
Pat Riot replied to Alpo's topic in SASS Wire Saloon
I don’t think I would. I stopped wearing a wedding band years ago due to the hazards associated with wearing a ring and working in a possibly dangerous environment. Also donning and removing gloves poses a risk of losing one’s ring. But, after saying all thst, No. I would not let someone else wear my wedding ring. That ring was given to me by my wife as we said our vows. It is our symbol of unity. -
If it makes you happy that is all that truly matters. Good Luck, Joe. I hope you enjoy your work. It sounds like you weighed the benefit of it and are happy with the decision. Congratulations.

I am pretty sure all of my dogs could count in a very limited capacity. At the same time they also didn’t equate size to capacity or volume. We have always had 2 dogs at a time until the past few years. If I gave 1 dog 3 treats and the other dog 2 the other dog seemed to know they’ve been gypped. If I gave my dogs 3 small treats each when I came home from work then come home one day and drop 1 big treat each on the floor more often than not they would look at me as expecting 2 more. If I handed the large treats to them they didn’t seem to care about count. They would run off to their beds or favorite spot and enjoy their treats.

The fact of the matter is I have found a job that I truly suck at and I am proud of myself for that.

Absolutely! My wife wanted to buy this vacuum sealer machine that I am pretty sure could suck a golf ball down a garden house. It was not cheap either. Her friend had one and had pretty much sold my wife on one. So, I improvised with zip lock bags and a Starbucks straw. My wife was fine with that. I know it works because whenever we defrost steaks without opening the bag during thawing all the fluids leave the steaks and end up in the bag. Just like an expensive vacuum machine sealed frozen steak would. Also, Ziploc brand bags are tougher than the bags used by vacuum machines so they don’t pierce as easy when shuffling things around in the freezer.

Constitutional Amendments
Pat Riot replied to Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967's topic in SASS Wire Saloon
The more I think about this Amendment issue, the more I think that it’s a test. A test to see how far “they” can go in manipulating not only Congress as a whole, but also the state legislatures as a whole. I don’t think the Left has the juice to pull it off, but now they have planted a seed. -

I like mandatory sponsor patches on all public office personnel. Especially those in the House and the Senate. Like this: DISCLAIMER: This image was snatched off the internet. The likenesses in the image are not a reflection of the politicians featured. It is an example. Furthermore, I did not create this and I really don’t want to hear your views on those portrayed. This image is used to make a point. That is it.
