  1. Glock magazines have a stainless steel frame with a polymer coating. They aren’t “plastic” and neither is a Glock. It’s a polymer framed gun with plenty of steel in the slide and internal components.
  2. I would definitely go with #1. It looks like an original. #2 almost looks like brushed nickel. Regardless of what it is I wouldn’t want it. It may have been a parade rifle.
  3. That is a cool website. Thank you. I saved it in my favorites folder. I didn’t look at shipping costs but their screws are reasonably priced. https://www.mcfeelys.com/
  4. “Ya know it’s legal to build and operate a still as long as you don’t sell your product.” Per a guy at the hardware store buying copper tubing and plastic jugs.
  5. Yeah, cheap bits give you cheap results. I verified that yesterday. It’s hard to get the Snap-On bits that I like without paying through the nose. I think it’s time to go square. I did try Torx, but I am not sold on those.
  6. I have seen these square drive screws in the hardware depts of Lowe’s, Home Depot & Menard’s. I am going to have to give these a try.
  7. Same here. I think it’s location oriented insanity and dumbassery. Probably the weirdest thing I have seen here at our 2 Walmarts is this dude with gray hair with a 70’s pompadour mullet with lamb chops and a handlebar mustache wearing a shirt proclaiming “Texan’s do it best” or some nonsense like that. He looked like a complete moron. He wasn’t from around here, I’m sure.
  8. I have never encountered wolves in the wild, only in zoos. The ones I saw were bigger than most big dogs.
  9. Interesting. I may have to give this a try. Thank you. I actually use a Dewalt drill/driver, but it’s not an “impact driver”. I have finally gone through my stash of Snap-On “grippy bits”, as I call them. I tried some Amazon knock-offs. They are okay for light jobs but the torque and force of sinking 3” screws is too much for them. 2-3 screws per bit then toss em.
  10. I was cursing Phillips head screws and driver bits just yesterday. Driving #8 3” screws into the hard cured pine () of my reloading bench to add support. I ruined 4 Phillips bits driving 16 screws after drilling pilots for the screws. I passed on the Torx screws because the box of screws didn’t come with bits any more and I was not buying a pack of 12 bits to drive 15 or 20 screws. I should have bought them, though I did get more practice speaking “Sailor” so there was one benefit. Oh, and all that screwing around only slightly improved my bench. Grrrrrrrr
  11. Have you ever milked a magnesia? It’s harder than milking an almond!
  12. I had Heinz ketchup in Canada. They have good taste in Canada.
  13. Definitely an extremely high level of disdain.
  14. Yeah, well, Screw ‘Em! ….and Otto too!
  15. Well, there are lots of Hunkies in SW PA, but I had never encountered “Halushki” until we moved back this way. Now Halupki’s were very common - stuffed cabbage rolls. Just not at football games. Joe, you should be writing food and cook books. Seriously, you should.
  16. Many “traditional foods” are born on someone’s BS…or sales technique. When my wife and I moved here to WV we also moved closer to family. My great-nephews all plays sports. My wife loves to go to the games. I tag along occasionally so I can see my brother and support the kids, though bleacher seats kill my back. Anyway, at many of these games they have a kitchen going where one can buy drinks, candy, snacks, hotdogs, burgers and cabbage and noodles - “a traditional food of southwestern Pennsylvania” Uh….No it isn’t, but it seems it has become a “traditional food” in SW PA because someone decided it should be and they convinced a whole bunch of people that it is. Now I was skeptical at first about trying it, but I have to say it’s delicious. I like it very much, but I know that if it was “traditional” PA food I would have encountered it somewhere growing up because it is a perfect “poor people’s food”. I did not grow up in wealthy communities. My wife has made it a few times and I fried up hamburger with onions and peppers and spices and mixed it in with the cabbage and noodles and WOW! was that good. Tradition or not, if you’re ever at a Pennsylvania high school football game on a cool or chilly night get to the concession stand and get you some cabbage and noodles. You will love it, I’m sure. Just get there early. They always sellout by half-time. PS: If you don’t like cabbage, well…grumble about it on your own time.
  17. Wow! That is a cluster **** of a rifle.
  18. From the menu: “Mule tongue cold, a la Bray.” Seriously? Is this a gag?
  19. That’s really cool. I don’t believe that I have ever seen one of these. Thanks Joe.
  20. When I was younger I could. No way today I have always liked Jack Palance.
  21. Sam’s Club stick butter with salt is surprisingly good.
  22. Here’s two interesting articles. https://britishfoodhistory.com/2015/03/31/toast/ https://metro.co.uk/2017/07/20/10-weird-things-only-british-people-do-with-toast-6781975/
  23. Here’s a cool image I found on a Meme site: Image from: https://acidcow.com/pics/167058-jokes-for-animal-lovers-22-pics.html
  24. Thank you. I am going to look into this.
  25. I think they should re-introduce Neanderthals. How wild would that be?
