  1. Well…Look at the big brain on Brad, I mean, Marshal. I just copied and pasted. I didn’t name the happenings, but you are right.
  2. This is an interesting collection of photos from years past. It’s hard to pick a favorite, but the photo of people riding the Broughton Lumber Flume sure looks like a lot of fun. I found them all here: https://acidcow.com/pics/160462-interesting-historical-photos-22-pics.html "Engineer Karen Leadlay Working On The Analog Computers In The Space Division Of General Dynamics, 1964" 1 "E. 3. And shortly after this photo was taken the gent on the left burst into flames because his cigar ignited his wool jacket pocket flap.
  4. Thanks for the info. Kind of a weird name for a baby buggy. I kind of thought it might be “Baby On Board” or perhaps some cutesy name only rich trophy wives would or could afford, like; (this must be said like Mr. Howell only in a woman’s voice) Belaire, Oh Baby…
  5. Yes, @J-BAR #18287 we have power. We are further north than the power outage. The center of the state has had some heavy storms. I am sure that’s the cause. Thank you for your concern.
  6. Unfortunately, they only use PP. I was told they’re looking at other options, but nothing has changed yet.
  7. What does “BOB” stand for, please?
  8. This is exactly why I have never had a FB account. All this identity theft business is why I have frozen my credit. I will not use PayPal or Discover card. Long story short I bought something on eBay. There was an additional $11 charge for no reason. I cancelled the transaction with Discover. Both entities froze my accounts. 6 months later they both came back and said it was my fault. They were right. My fault for dealing with Scum. I will pay for only one thing via PayPal. A forum that I like uses PP to process “Contributing Membership”. I put it on my card via PP but I don’t need an account for this.
  9. Thanks Kit. Now that I know John Wick is a comic book things about the movies make a little more…I won’t say “sense”. Perhaps “clarity”. A little more clarity. Will I watch them? Probably not.
  10. It just dawned on me that John Wick movies are the stuff of Comic Books. Think about it. Many movies today are derived from the comic books that many of us read as kids. If John Wick had been a comic book then I could see the entertainment value of it, but John Wick was not a comic book character. Even though this character wasn’t a comic book these movies come across as the type of thing of the comic book era. Many adult males in today’s society are teenagers, mentally. I see men walking around wearing comic book hero tee shirts. Driving cars with comic book hero decals or decals relating to comic books. Home decor with comic book hero themes. Etcetera, etcetera, etc. I think this is ONE of the reasons these movies are popular. They’re basically Comic Book material without ever having been a comic book. Please note that I did not say anything about the star of these movies or his off screen abilities and past times. My comment here is not about the Star. EDIT: Well Holy Coincidence Batman! It turns out that John Wick WAS a Comic Book. This explains a lot! I guess I should have done a search before writing this post. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Wick_(comics)
  11. I did not. Thank you for the info.
  12. I recall tornado sirens in Arkansas when I was a kid. A very ominous sound when you’re walking home in a storm and that siren kicks on. The first time that happened a lady came out of a brick building and waved at me to come inside. I did. It was a law firm. We all went to the basement. We were down there for a while. Maybe 45 minutes or so when someone that was listening to a little AM radio said it was all clear. When I got home my Mom was so happy to see me. She was in a panic because I was missing, in her mind. I thought it was really nice of that lady to bring me into their business and down in their basement. The second time it happened my first thought was “Weird! Tornadoes occur as school lets out.” This time I ran home so my Mom wouldn’t worry. When we lived in Alabama I know they had tornado sirens, but I don’t recall ever hearing them.
  13. “I cannot confirm or deny the use or presence of nuclear weapons aboard US Naval vessels” So, what do you think of this handling of a nuclear weapon?
