  1. If that blued pin fits the Ruger Super Blackhawk I'll take it.
  2. My favorite. (I think he's still there.) 😁
  3. These still available? Would like pictures.
  4. I load exactly with the technique and equipment you have. I don't have a problem with leakage, a few donuts of powder do slip by once in a while but never enough to be disconcerting. As mentioned, I would suggest cleaning your equipment and putting it back together very carefully. If something continues to leak, perhaps buy new discs or even the powder hopper assembly.
  5. You got me. I watched the trailer. Baldwin looks like an absolute moron in a cowboy hat.
  6. Guess what this is? $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ If any of you said eggs, you are correct.
  7. I'll jump ahead. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ Nap time. 😜
  8. Amen El Caminos are one of the sexiest vehicles ever made! 😀
  9. Looking at the 10mm simply because it has a six round capacity over the other mid frame guns. I'd probably prefer a 6 shot 44 Special but won't be finding the Smith 624 for under $1300. So, the 10mm has my interest. I suppose a 7 round .357 wouldn't be a bad second choice but I do like the .40 cal option better.
  10. Maybe those who find this so offensive should find a new damn country in which to live.
  11. For a carry sized revolver, think 3" or less, the GP100s from Ruger in either 10mm or .357 works well for weight and concealment. Of course, so do offerings from other manufacturers, but this thread is about one revolver in particular. While I have seen .41 magnum CCW size revolvers sell on gunbroker they are not currently in production, and what is available is quite pricey. The .44 magnum revolver tends to be too large/heavy, especially in a 6 shot size frame. So that gives us the 44 Special, which is also difficult to find and if found, again, pricey. Think Smith 624 as it is a six shot. So that leaves us with the 6 shot 10mm (40 caliber) as an option. I absolutely agree, rimmed cartridge revolvers are perhaps more suitable for many reasons. This 10mm option is just a niche I'm exploring.
  12. Looking for any personal experience and thoughts with the Ruger GP100 Wiley Clapp in 10mm any of y'all may have. Not interested in the 4 inch Match Champion as the intent would be for a carry piece. 6 rounds of 10 mm in a mid-sized, 3 inch revolver sounds fascinating. This gun seems to have good sights for a carry gun as well. Yes, moon clips needed for proper ejection but that is not a deal breaker. These are pretty difficult to come across right now so is the search worth it considering so many other choices although not in 10mm? Thanks for any helpful insight.
  13. Too long on the grill?
  14. Where? Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas so far. The year is only beginning. 😁
  15. I have spent a lot of time in Colorado. Much of Colorado is red. Sadly though, like in Washington State and Oregon it is the population center that drives politics. Denver and Boulder I avoid. That is where the vast number of the pothead liberal lunatics are... no desire encounter those idiots. I head for the mountains and look for solitude and peace. Not hard to find there. I have spent some quality time at a few great gun stores in Colorado. I always go back for a visit when I travel the state. Plenty of local outdoorsmen and firearms enthusiasts there who are also beyond disenchanted with the Kalifornication of their state.
  16. This needs a PISSED OFF button and a STUPID AS HELL button.
  17. No one here has mentioned the beauty of mayonnaise on French fries yet? 🙃
  18. Nice looking shooters. Are those Army grips?
  19. Just picked up this Colt. It's in excellent condition, but there are what looks like wear spots in the nickel finish. Can this be polished or is a refinish necessary at some point? Look at the muzzle end. Some small spots on cylinder as well.
  20. While not in Dallas, Texas Jacks in Fredricksburg had a decent selection of books last time I was there. While there, enjoy the great selection of firearms they have. 😀 Texas Jacks is about as Western/Cowboy themed as a place can get.
  21. Lighter weight chinks instead of chaps work well in the heat. The 5 item choice as previously mentioned is easy and can be modified (away from chaps, for example) to avoid heat issues. I know several CCs who never wear chaps. Botas can be used in place of chaps/chinks. Drink lots of water. Avoid coffee. Stay in shade. Some mount a sun umbrella to their guncarts for shade. Occasionally pour water over your head letting it run down the back of your neck... that offers immediate cooling. Or douse a silk wild rag in water and tie it gently around your neck. All these tricks work well for me.
  22. I could still use some 44 Special boxes if'n anyone has any they no longer want.
  23. My 500JRH BFR Bisley is all I want to handle. After seeing the video of 3 Foot shooting his S&W500 mag, no thankeesir!
  24. Pat, And, and, and...? You bought it the second time? 🫠
