I figger ya take your chance either way. I've know too many folks who've been screwed by dealers over warranty issues that should have been covered. At least with a used private sale I know the risk I'm taking and I don't have to worry about needing to argue with a scumbag dealer (and in my area they are scumbags) over a mechanical problem. Plus, buying used I avoid the initial huge depreciation and sales tax hit. I've never had a used car repair bill that ever got close to the cumulative cost of years worth of payments on a new car.

Good luck with the new truck. It's dealer games like you mention that keep me from ever buying from a dealer.

It's been quite a while since I have seen new Stoeger double coach guns on the shelf. The local Sheels has 6 now. All 12 gauges. Two blued and 4 Supreme models... pricing at $450 blued and $520ish for Supreme. Not horrible I thought. Fit and finish was fine on all but typical stiff opening for a factory, new double. Just nice seeing these again.

ALL new vehicle pricing needs to drop about 30%. The last time I took my Jeep top off, first time I had done so in 5 years, a cat got in and pissed everywhere. My top will never come off again.

If it comes to a fullsized truck, Tundra for me. One hell of a truck.

As a lifetime Jeep owner and a Toyota owner I can say with 100% confidence that the money spent on Toyota will be money much better spent than the same money spent on a Jeep. And I really like the Jeep Gladiator.

Who's in for a CCFCGF category and buckle at this match? We'd like at least 5 players for this but the more, the merrier. (We'll also be sponsoring our own buckle, but that ain't new for the Classic Cowboy alternate categories... contact Major.) This new category idea has been discussed, so far favorably , and Major needs a tentative showing of hands who'll commit so he can move forward with plans. In other words, Major needs to evaluate interest so please let him know. I'll play.

If the email or PM you get reads like you're talking to a customer service rep from another country located in a very crowded part of the world it is probably a scam. Broken English, writing that sounds non-native English speaking, incorrect syntax, incorrectly conjugated verbs, or "stiffness" to the writing... all indicators of a scam. I've received a few from this site and others over the years that all have that same, uh, quality.

You might break up the leather and the guns and sell them separately...
