  1. It is NOT a rant, but a reflection of reality. There is no real desire to prosecute the criminal nor to protect the people. These moves are only about power for the elite.
  2. Good to see that even with this inflation people are buying firearms. I think people instinctively know it is money well spent.
  3. Same here. Several years back I called a number of a leather maker I got from a thread on another site. His widow told me he'd died just three months back. I felt horrible. Life... you just never know.
  4. One has to wonder about the amount of degrees that are actually worth in future earning potential what kids are paying to achieve them these days. 10% at best? A previous poster nailed it on the head when he mentioned "the college experience." Over the last 10 years I have heard so many of my peers who are parents of high school and college aged kids saying that they loved their time in college in the 80s and early 90s and they want their kids to have the same experience, but at what cost I ask. A lot of my peers because they are paying for their kids's "college experience" will not be able to retire until they are a 157 and a half years old with the debt they are amassing to entertain their kids, or perhaps live vicariously through their children's overpriced college experience. Granted, wages have not kept up with inflation and I see a lot of young people wondering to themselves how the hell they're ever going to be able to buy a house or afford to start a family especially if they are paying back a $100,000+ in school debt at age 22. Thank God some of these kids are figuring it out and by that I mean not buying into this college scam that so many these days do.
  5. The local Sheels has two 1894s in 44 mag. Both bery nice rifles. Both currently marked at $899.
  6. I am NOT going to run in cowboy boots, chaps and spurs. Well, maybe to last call at the bar but not a 50 yard dash on a range.
  7. ALL new vehicle pricing needs to drop about 30%. The last time I took my Jeep top off, first time I had done so in 5 years, a cat got in and pissed everywhere. My top will never come off again.
  8. I've been watching my local Sheels and while they have a wide variety of powders, no Unique. The local reloading shop who always has powder has also seen so Unique. Might be a regional distribution thing?
  9. Perhaps college endowment funds should be used to pay back college loans?
  10. If it comes to a fullsized truck, Tundra for me. One hell of a truck.
  11. As a lifetime Jeep owner and a Toyota owner I can say with 100% confidence that the money spent on Toyota will be money much better spent than the same money spent on a Jeep. And I really like the Jeep Gladiator.
  12. The WTC section of a few years back never made saw completion. It was also argued (by some) that would be a good addition.
  13. When I went my tuition cost a whopping $545 the first semester. What loans? Lol
  14. I've had excellent experiences through gunbroker but for what it's worth all pre-pandemic if that means anything. If it means anything I avoided stupid high pricing. But like ebay I always check the seller's reputation first.
  15. AA hull, plasic wad, 4.3 Lee dipper full of APP or BP, 1 or 1 1/8 oz 7 shot, 209 primer loaded on a cheap but reliable Lee Load All. Works fine. Good luck! Your fireball pic looks great!
  16. All depends on need. I've yet to even remotely regret the Lee Turret. Now, if I was to be needing to reload a high volume of 9mm or 38 Special for lots and lots of CAS, etc I have no doubt a Dillon would be a better choice. For my current reloading needs the Lee Classic Turret is perfect.
  17. Easy. I have extra parts. They actually last longer than you might think. Those little plastic square "collets" is a part I've changed maybe 3 times over the thousands of pulls my Lee has on it. As for the Lee Turret and bottleneck rifle cases I have no idea as I do not load bottle neck rifle. Pistol and straight wall rifle only for me.
  18. Oh, and regarding the rounds/hour from my Lee Classic Turret I can usually average 250 per hour. I've done 300 several times, only stopping to refill the primer trey. Spent about $225 on the press and it came with a die set of my choosing. Probably cost a bit more now.
  19. I've been using a Lee Classic Turret since 2009, never a problem. I started loading 45 Colt and have around 20,000 rounds of 45 Colt reloads with nary an issue. I am now set up for 7 different calibers on the same Lee. Money well spent. Learning the Lee was not difficult, rather enjoyable, and Lee has great support and parts availability, not to mention affordable pricing.
  20. Last I heard we have at least 5 cowboys interested in our newest supercool non SASS category that this match will offer. CCFCGF! Saddle up, pilgrims.
  21. Now I can stoke my '87 in WB. Finally!
  22. Out of a rifle I don't notice any recoil with those loads. In my Rugers I can shoot 200 grain bullets with a full case of black powder and not suffer recoil problems but a 250 grain bullet over a full case of black powder does add some recoil, slowing things downa might. However if we're just talking about the loudest boom and the most smoke or just having fun shooting warthog loads there's nothing better.
  23. Excellent! I promise it won't be as ugly as what we did up in Nebraska several years ago with the Josie Wales frontier cartridge gunfighter classic cowboy fiasco...
