  1. What's it worth to you for us NOT to tell her you said that?
  2. I've heard the initial cost is very low, but the 18+ years of maintenance is outrageous.
  3. I haven't heard anything about it but I'd sure understand it. Imagine all the extra labor required having to do everything upside down.
  4. Here's a thought out of left field. Eliminate the Spirit of the Game penalty but bump the procedural penalty up to 20 seconds. By doing that you allow the shooter to dump any remaining rounds on a single target without having to be the Amazing Kreskin to figure out why they did it. But at the same time, there's no way they can outshoot the penalty.
  5. For my own education as a TO, how should the do it differently in the future?
  6. I've had the levers bent on both of my SKBs. In addition to reducing the distance your thumb has to travel to get to the lever, this mod also puts your thumb into a mechanically stronger position to open the lever.
  7. That seems backwards. Isn't most of the reason for cleaning the cases to prevent damage to your dies?
  8. Oh great. You gonna be like Lumpy with the prank calls at all hours of the night?
  9. Whatchoo talkin' 'bout? I nailed that landing. Got ripped off by the Russian judge though.
  10. You sure nailed that. As a Double Duelist I SHOULD be able to reholster the first pistol and be grabbing my next gun while shooting the second pistol. Far too often I mess up the first step, reholstering the first pistol. Oh yeah, more than once. Only two months late? Dang, I'm doing better than I thought.
  11. With EOT only a few short weeks away I figure it's about time to start getting ready. What are your most effective practice techniques? When I say effective I mean, what actually leads to noticeably improved performance in a match? I've seen a lot of folks say their monthly matches are their practice. I can see how that would improve performance under match conditions. Other folks say they break down every movement they make and practice each one individually either during dry fire sessions at home or live fire sessions at the range. Something in between? What works for you?
  12. Yeah, weight is the consideration that first popped into my mind. I'd say adding both length and girth to those barrels is gonna change the balance a LOT. Probably have to ask a few ladies how much of a difference it makes.
  13. Ford vs Chevy 9mm vs 45 ACP Beans or no beans Less filling vs tastes great Ginger vs Mary Ann Best is subjective. Mine were done by Lassiter and I absolutely love them. P.S. Correct answers: Ford 45 ACP No beans I don't like beer Both!
  14. Murphy says: That would hold true for thousands and thousands of practice rounds. But the instant I tried to use one of those in a match.....................
  15. I'm nowhere near the Duelist Randy Saint Eagle is, but I am a Duelist. So I'll step in a get his hug for him.
  16. My rifles are from Taylor's and are what's called "in the white". It's my understanding that they were blued at the factory and then the outermost layer of bluing was polished off. This gives them the look of stainless but still provides the protection of bluing. I see no reason that wouldn't hold true for your pistols. Taylor's 1873 in the white
  17. I've read great things about the AKT1 Sport Ear Buds. As long as Santa doesn't find out about those couple of incidents over the Summer I might have a chance of finding a pair in my stocking. Will report back if/when I have more info.
  18. Have safe travels, my friend. Hope everything turns out better than you imagined.
  19. I've never really cared how shiny my brass is as long as it's clean. Since switching to a wet tumbler with stainless steel pins though I've changed my mind a bit. Brass comes out looking like new but it's brass so it doesn't stay that way. I use the Dawn and Lemishine mixture for cleaning. Is there anything else you know of that cleans as well but will also keep the brass sparkling?
