  1. Time to lighten load in the safe. Have a really nice semi-rare shooter grade all original 1886 Winchester rifle in 40-82 caliber, full octagon 26" barrel with a very good bore. Has a single set trigger that actually works and a folding front globe site. Comes with a Winchester letter stating that it was produced with the single set trigger. Has a Marbles rear sight and has retained just a bit of case color hardening under the base of rear sight with the rest of metal finish being mostly brown. The wood may have been refinished at some time in the past and the wood fore stock has no splits , but does have a empty hole for an apparent sling mount in the end cap and the wood butt stock also has a sling mount hole and a couple small splits but pretty solid if visible in the pics. Also have at least a hundred rounds of once fired 40-82 brass, dies, even a fair amount of lead bullets and a bunch more stuff. Asking $3500.00 for rifle and all the accessories. I have shot this in SASS big bore long range matches with black power loads and have paper work for equivalent smokeless loads. It is a really nice shooter grade 1886 Winchester. Can send more pics of rifle and accessories with PMs.
  2. I have a 1887 CC special edition that I purchased new in 2006 and had the 2 drop mod done. This shotgun has been shot for several years at cas matches and have re done the wood finish. Also has the chokes.

  3. Doc, I have a pair of the 44 Specials SS 4 5/8" I purchased them in 2012 and shot them a couple years at SASS matches. Had Brisco  kid change to Blackhawk hammers/springs and changed to the black checkered grips. These are used but real nice condition. They have been in the safe for last couple years and thinking to down size gun collection.

  4. He was a fairly sympathetic judge in 'All the Pretty Horses" to Matt with the bullet hole and misfortunes he encounter.
  5. OK. So a shooter with a 6 stage match shoots a 200 second match, but gets a stage DQ and a shooter with a 300 second stage and clean and would pull ahead because a 150 sec. added to a total of 350 sec.?
  6. Rank points I understand, good or bad. What is the T.T. penalty for a stage DQ as opposed to R.S.?
  7. have a pair of Cimarron Uberti blue/case hard Model P, 4.75" barrels,44-40, Original owner and shot in CAS matchs for several years. Has action jobs and low/wide profile hammers.

  8. Let me check with my editors and see if any of them are interested. Notmally Articles on Black powder pistold won't sell but converting them may be a different matter. Why was it necessary to reline the bores? won't the .357 .38 bullet work in .36 caliber bore?

  9. That sounds like a real interesting project. Let me know how much you want for it.
