OK it starts with a 4 and the number I want is number 2...The short 1851 barrels...Just happen to have a few of that year hanging around....

I was smart enough no to get started in that caliber...I always liked something that start with a 4....That is just me....

Of course, I now about 50 of the darn things....Lost count....

I just bought a rifle from Slick.I will need dies, and brass.I just started looking just now.Don't know anything about loading a 44-40 case.
I know I have dies...More than likely about 4 extras...Do you prefer a set brand?? Some where between here and storage have some brass hanging loose too...See what I can do...

Ah gotcha. Well I sure hope so since I have quite a few. I don't know of any restrictions that Oakland has that supersedes the state. I get cap guns delivered straight to my door.
I get them delivered too...But EMF is down the street...Need to go threw and see what to find new homes for...These new one looking real nice and should be interesting to shoot....Not sure about 36 caliber, seems small...They are for fun...

Thanks for that. It seems a pretty darn good price to me.
What?
I know that state allows us to have them, but was unsure if Oakland had any different rules or laws...
TL
Giving you a bad time....

When I called them, the one question I forgot to ask was how much do they cost. Can anyone here state the price they paid for one or two? Thanks
Does Oakland allow you to have one or two??

I am getting tired of threads like this. As if I don't have enough guns on my wish list. Seriously, those are some really great looking guns. Now I wish I had ordered a set. I am going to have to look into getting on the next list if they are old sold out already.
I left one yesterday...They say that they ordering some more...

Ya can thank me later, I passed when they called me... had my eye on a new-to-me mdl 94... Might have to re-think that at a later date... will someone let me know if they have flat or coil hand springs.
Thank you now...Problem with them so close, it is easy to buy from...Too easy...

Yep, since I turned him on to snubbies, we now call him "Hacksaw" Coffinmaker.
No barrel is too short for him now!
Yep, he cut those beautiful engraved barrels.
But the result looks really nice!
I'll get pics if I can.

I will wait for the pictures...Kinda like to see these things...

TL:
Coffinmaker made 'em
They are pretty cool
All my snubbies are 1860s
I'll try to get pics on Saturday.
Del Rio Pete:
Glad you got the wedge out -- a punch usually does a good job.
It will loosen up over time.
I'll try to get pics of my marshals up tonight.
--Dawg
Coffinmaker made 'em, did he cut down a pair of Marshals barrels to get what you needed???
TL
1860's only way to go...Fit the hand better...But 1851s can get an Army grip and have on mine...
-
Hey Del Rio Pete:
Yep, those US Marshals are the nicest cap guns currently being made.
I have 4 of them
Coffinmaker made a neat set of snubbie gunfighters out of a pair of them.
Sounds like yer on yer way,
Watch out -- They're more addictive than drugs!
Have fun
--Dawg
Am I reading right...You made a pair of snubbies out of them Marshals...

I got the Bordertown email today showing all the participants. Looks like quite a few of us brass shell users are attending, perhaps a little get together one evening might be in order to chit chat about things.
It sounds like some good learning time for us new people at it...Got the brass, thought is was time do it...

Thanks for this thread... found out what I might have done wrong in my first foray into loading brass BP rounds...
Did you forget to add the powder??? Or maybe the shot??
