Welcome JP
You & yours will have a ton of fun with the Cowboy family..not many of us in Australia [ approx. 900 ] but we have a ball !! ..Tripping around is fantastic & experiencing the different clubs,.shoots, meeting new people etc is wonderful & more so in the USA.
EOT is a blast , we hope to be back there in '019.
I think around 25 from Down Under attending this year.......
You will get a lot of offers to help ..because that's the way this family is.

I got a SDQ on the first stage once, walked to the shooting line ready to go and timer says STOP! your rifle hammer is cocked, not chambered but yep it was cocked, And boy did I get mad at( ME! ) how stupid could I be I said, Learned and never happened again.
Renegade Ripley
Yep nearly' done that a few times !!

Your issue is not with powder coated bullets. It is with a crummy bullet caster. It's like painting a car. If you paint over dents the car is still going to be dented. Your heading makes it sound like the coating caused some sort of problem. That is apparently not so.
Yep what Larsen said, unfortunately some sellers coat crappy bullets because it does cover up faults !

We[ve never met , but maybe someday..Happy Birthday to 'ya anyways !

Powder coated bullets are very popular in Australia, probably around 90% use them, like them myself but as I have a magna-caster & with the time you put into it I am not prepared to spend extra time coating bullets....

WOW..what a cool idea T-Bone

Nice run Mohawk.
And now that you've been bit by the Darkside bug, I'm sure you'll find (just like I did) that smokeless just won't cut it any more! Nothin but real black for me for the last 6 years now. And thanks Grizz for the help you provide to us 'technically challenged' cowfolk!

Howdy Titus
That must be about the time [ 2011 ] when we met you at the Powder Creek Cowboy shoot..I too will end up shooting BP fulltime , just not yet.
All the best to you & Fannie....Mohawk

PS I tried to embed the video; but, I guess I don't know how.
Thanks Alli for trying..I'm danged if I can do it ...as I said don't have vids of my shooting so when Kathouse Kelli took this one I thought I'd put it up..luv the BP & maybe one day will shoot it fulltime...if anyone can help I don't have a link but can send it attached to an email..Regards Mohawk

Hardpan: I'm in Ontario, Canada, so our employment laws are likely different.
That said, here in Ontario, Canada, the circumstances of your leaving, could be construed as a firing.
Here, if your labour lawyer gets involved, you may get a very hefty pay-out for every year you were with the company.
Food for thought.
In any case, enjoy your retirement, but if mine is any indication, you'll be busier than ever!! LOL 1

Howdy Cold Lake..Similar here in Australia & further there are some companies that pay out a percentage of unused sick pay & if the employee gives notice & the employer brings the date forward then the $$ are still paid for the employee's date..but then our notice periods are only 1-4 weeks.Wages are 'Much' higher here than the USA however our cost of living is very much higher. Also we have compulsory superannuation payments made by the employer to employee's fund [ presently around 10% ]..13 weeks long service pay after 15 years & 4 weeks vacation pay each year.Although this is what should happen there are still employers who don't do the right thing! I was in the 90's a union official & had great pleasure in busting the rogues.
Enjoy your retirement Hardpan ....
