  1. Sounds good but might be more work than it is worth. If you put a value on your time that cost could easily be greater than the satisfaction of doing something that others could or would not take on. Like others I would be interested in how things turn out but probably not a project I want to take on. Good luck in your endeavor Regards Gateway Kid
  2. Just got home from grocery shopping. Gas 3.299 gallon, 1-20-21 = 1.899 Milk 3.29 gallon, 1-20-21 = 1.99 Eggs 3.79 dozen, 1-20-21 = .99 Tuna fish .99 can, 1-20-21 = .69 Chips, 4.09 bag, 1-20-21 = 1.99 Bread 4.29 loaf, 1-20-21 = 1.99 Primers 94/K, 1-20-21 = 32/K My check book says (since I buy pretty much the same thing every time) that a shopping trip costs roughly double what it did 1-20-21! I would kill to have only 9% inflation, let alone 3%! I know some (including on this forum) say current WH occupant can do no wrong and economy is booming and not his fault but facts say different in my area. Lots of factors for sure, I just don’t see pursuing idiotic agendas or inept leadership as helpful. Regards (and hoping savings hold out) Gateway Kid
  3. Would be cool to see. We got an “official” .2 inches yesterday, and .45 inches today. About enough to make a decent footprint! Heaven knows we need it, but compared to what they got last week on the mesa, this is nothing. They got 24 inches over a couple days, bringing their total to 57 inches, so they got some work to do to finish out at over 160 inches like last year. Regards and happy “schussing” Gateway Kid
  4. No doubt! Some women just have “IT” don’t they? makes you glad you are a man! Regards Gateway Kid
  5. I find it fascinating that liberals immediately rejoice when a ruling goes their way (particularly after judge shopping across the country) and declare it “settled law”, but when stymied by a clear cut decision they are determined to take it (at our expense) to as many courts as they can to reverse said decision! Why don’t they have to face the consequences of their actions, financially and civilly, out of their own pockets to pursue what they so obviously support! Same for the politicians who wrote this garbage in defiance of their oath of office! Kick them all out! Regard's Gateway Kid
  6. So wadya think? 3.2 grains TiteGroup or 3.5 grains Unique? Gives a whole new meaning to “poof-tink” Regards Gateway Kid
  7. Hmmm people casually mutter “OCD” under their breath when I do stuff like that around here. Welcome Brothers !!! Regards Gateway Kid
  8. Yes, there are ways to keep your costs down, it just takes a little digging. Everything is ridiculous expensive right now and IMHO, prices may someday come down some but we won’t be seeing $30-$35 primers again, so do what you have to to continue to afford the game. Regards Gateway Kid
  9. Through December they had “member” Monday. If you bought primers or powder on a cabela’s card you got 15% off. Got Federals at $89 - 15% = $75.65 + tax = $81.85 otd. Then walked over to service counter and paid off card. TiteGroup 8 # at $209 - 15% = $177.65 + tax = $192.21 otd. Again walked over to pay off card. Could only get one of each but stopped by twice for primers and once for powder. Don’t know if they are continuing the program but something to check. Regards Gateway Kid PS our sales tax is 8.2%
  10. Heck I didn’t even know that you were supposed to pour milk from a perfectly good plastic bottle into a fragile, breakable glass container that would then need washing before you drank it! Regards Gateway Kid
  11. I would support this ^^^^^ As I said earlier, no problem whatsoever in any of my 9mm guns with factory springs. And even in my cowboy guns I would attribute anything that popped up to springs with 25 thousand dry fires and probably 30 or more matches. I would not hesitate to get more but I currently have plenty of Federals (pre pandemic) so don’t need them for now. If I needed them you can bet that they will be coming from Miss Scarlett!!! a great supporter of our game and a genuinely nice Lady. Regards Gateway Kid
  12. Of course! I remember being young and my mom telling my brother and I that a little skiff of snow wasn’t enough to not go to school! Then we dressed up to the hilt to trudge through 4-5 inches of snow to class! Sigh!!!!! All about perspective I guess. Regards Gateway Kid
  13. Just gave away 800 Ginex SPP as door prizes at our Cowboy Christmas party. Nothing wrong with about 350 in my 9mm’s with factory springs, zero failures or issues. My cowboy guns had 5 light strike FTF that went off the second time around out of about 200 rounds. Blame it on light hammer springs rather than the primers. but have plenty of other primers so considered it an experiment and will stick with the Federals. Regards Gateway Kid
  14. Sounds like a plan. I’ll be waiting! Guessing we can start with discussing the virtues of light beer and work our way from there! Regards Gateway Kid
  15. I personally don’t care if others don’t like me, except for dogs, I want dogs to like me! Regards Gateway Kid
  16. Count me in the “could be lighter” camp. For years I was running Seven’s magic springs and about every other year adding one of the plastic shims as the springs softened with use. Don’t know the weight but never had a misfire in competition though sometimes in practice when I was not completely pulling the hammer back trying to go faster. Probably about 14#. Ran out of my stash of them and installed Wolff 17# and like them a lot. Seem more “positive” in striking the primer and leave a considerably deeper dent. My hands aren’t the most sensitive and I really can’t tell the difference. YMMV Regards Gateway Kid
  17. Well if it has changed, you can expect a plethora of mass casualty events to be attributed to the firepower output enhancement of the brace. (where is the tongue in cheek emoji anyway?) seems like every time something disturbs the lefty media narrative an occurrence of the evil inherent in a non sentient mechanical device happens. Wondering why that is? Regards Gateway Kid
  18. Pretty much Someone told me there are 130 division 1 teams plus another (roughly 300) division 2 teams of which 24 fight it out for their championship. Don’t know if D2 are bowl eligible or not but if there are 42 division D1 bowl games (84 teams) roughly 65% play in a bowl of some kind! wow! Regards Gateway Kid
  19. Got an email or website link? TIA Regards Gateway Kid
  20. Yep they suck so bad I currently have three pairs. Guess I am just a slow learner! Regards Gateway Kid
  21. Gone to soon. RIP dear lady Respectfully Gateway Kid
  22. The administrative side lays down the rules to be followed by the “gun toting door kickers” and those rules sometimes include going after a FFL for such horrific crimes as not capitalizing a street name or not knowing that a person has the same name as a prohibited person and after the check is approved by appropriate agency then coming to rescrutinize records that have been scrutinized repeatedly over the years. (for potential errors they said, though not a single failed audit in nearly 17 years). Both of which have happened to an FFL locally. ATF has shown by its actions it considers itself both above the law and some kind of arbiter of punishment beyond its enumerated authority. Even the police don’t inflict punishment (usually) they leave that up to the courts. Regards Gateway Kid
  23. Safe travels, hope you have some great adventures, and will be praying for your complete healing! Regards Gateway Kid
