  1. No stake in this sale but this was my first pump shotgun I ever bought. Bottom eject so compatable with both left and right hand shooters, smooth and reliable with everything an 18 year old could find to run through it. Oh and if I recall correctly about $550 new back then so the price is certainly right on this one. Lots of good memories with mine (still have it) Good luck with your sale RW Regards Gateway Kid
  2. So downsizing after finally retiring. SWMBO wants to travel and do nature photography in exotic places. Already been to Africa, Costa Rica, Israel, Alaska, plans for Australia and Brazil. she just got back from Panama. Looks like my shooting is going to take a back seat so cleaned out the garage and man cave and found powders beyond my expected use. All have been stored in old hospital blast containing lockers or inside house closets. I typically shoot about 10-12 thousand rounds per year but have about a 3 maybe 4 year supply of powder. Too much? Not enough? Just right? What do you keep around? Regards Gateway Kid
  3. sending you a pm have a question Regards Gateway Kid
  4. Agreed. But Not nearly as good a picture Regards Gateway Kid
  5. Just a heads up but, Lumpy and Rooster are probably already looking for you! Not sure what the penalty for heresy is but betting they do! Regards Gateway Kid
  6. With Valentine’s Day coming up this is genius! hmmmmm… maybe not Regards Gateway Kid
  7. Would like to have these but my state (Colorado) says way to dangerous for its citizens to own! (apparently if your magazine holds more than 15 round maximum capacity you automatically turn into a homicidal maniac). Only way to procure standard capacity mags is in unassembled - kit form. Good luck with your sale. Regards Gateway Kid
  8. It is maddening that when the founders put “well regulated” into the Second, meaning trained and qualified, they didn’t include similar language into anything related to legislators and the performance of their duties. A basic understanding of the Constitution, the limits placed on government (not citizens) and an ability to READ should be a requirement for these jack hats who think they are above all others. Regards Gateway Kid
  9. Actually, yes I have written the NFL directly. Got a nice email form letter thanking me for my interest in professional football and my concerns. The email went on to tell me that pro sports figures were people too and allowed to express themselves as they saw fit and the NFL was merely recognizing their constitutional rights. Same letter to my hometown Broncos and virtually the same (practically word for word) response. I had been a Broncos fan since ‘72 but as we all know fans don’t really count except as a revenue stream. As far as college football goes it has never really been high on my radar so not watching it wasn’t much of a change anyway. YMMV Regards Gateway Kid
  10. Stopped watching the NFL in 2017 when all the kneelers took over. Thought this might be the first Super Bowl I would watch since, but then they announced the “black national anthem” would be a featured part of the show. Don’t need another divisive selling point in addition to cr@ppy, unfunny woke commercials and a (usually) uninteresting game to take up a whole day. YMMV Regards Gateway Kid
  11. This ^^^^^ x 10000 As a wise man once told me “if you cheat to win, you’re not winning just cheating” Regards Gateway Kid
  12. Remington Thunderbolt is nasty stuff. Six different semi auto 22’s get dirty to the point of loss of function within 3 or 4 magazines. That is on top of at least one FTF per magazine, bullets that are loose in the case and often have the nose sheared off along one side. If this was Yelp… would not recommend. Regards Gateway Kid
  13. Also commented on FB, but praying for her complete and successful recovery. World is a better place when she is around. Respectfully Gateway Kid
  14. THIS ^^^^ As a CDL instructor I often had apprentice linemen fresh out of school going into the CDL program. Initially confused me since the vehicles they usually drove didn’t require a CDL in the first place. One of the hiring managers told me that some companies used larger vehicles to more efficiently handle bigger outages and crews and a lineman with a CDL had more options as to where they served their apprenticeship and commanded up to $10K extra pay over someone who didn’t hold a CDL. Starting salaries for apprentices were about $45K or so plus $10K for the CDL. $55K starting pay for a non degree job sounds pretty good to a 19-20 year old! (Me too!) and then throw in lots of overtime on top of that! Regards Gateway Kid
  15. Yes but they have also previously ruled the feds have the obligation to defend our borders. How’s that working out? Regards Gateway Kid
  16. IIRC if you caught a thrown ball the thrower was out and the first of your team’s players who had been hit and removed was brought back in. Regards Gateway Kid
  17. If they can be shipped over the hill I will take them @ $250 shipped Regards Gateway Kid let me know how you want paid via pm
  18. With some of the funny words they use to describe stuff, what makes you think that they are not already doing that? After all they call cookies a biscuit and small pick up trucks a Ute (just funning with ya guys) Regards Gateway Kid
  19. Here is an idea! How about if instead of banning guns, restricting ownership of guns or passing storage laws that only apply to guns (not drugs, alcohol, bows or knives) and other items which are generally in already locked homes. we take those who use guns in a criminal manner and shoot others, or those whose past behavior warrants limited or non ownership of firearms or scumbags who break into another persons home to steal somebody elses hard earned property including firearms and throw their sorry butts into jail for a significant (non-negotiable) period of time. Then after say 10 or 15 years we see how that works out. We often spend 20 or 30 years creating bogus "studies" of ineffective, mistargeted and clearly unconstitutional laws that uniformly vilify firearms but never trash the laws themselves (which don't reduce crime anyway) Bet I can guess which will be more effective in curtailing criminal behavior. Regards Gateway Kid
  20. So if these new legislation efforts apply to firearms manufacturers in the interest of safety, why do they not apply to, say, the automotive manufacturers, alcohol distributors, pharmaceutical companies, hospitals and doctors plus literally ANY business that could potentially harm someone? Obviously not interested in helping the people of her state, only purpose is to push an agenda and ideology of control over a segment of the population. Regards Gateway Kid
  21. Big prayers up for Reb. One (of many) who took me under his wing to teach a beginner this game. Always a class act and someone I will always look up to. Heavenly Father watch over this man that he recover completely and hold him and his dear wife in your all encompassing arms as they go through this difficult time. Respectfully Gateway Kid
  22. My wife just got back from Panama. Her friend had bid on a silent auction for five to go and won the bid. Two of the people who were supposed to go did not have passports and could not guarantee they could get them in time, so my wife and her friend (who both had passports) got a 10 day all inclusive girls trip for $100 and airfare. Just one example of a time critical need for a passport in hand. Regards Gateway Kid BTW while mine is not inches thick it has more filled in pages than empty and have never regretted having it.
  23. This is exactly what I was thinking. A friend wanted a revolver in 327 because it was touted by many as the next greatest thing. When asked I told her IMO it did nothing that the 38 special couldn't do, cost considerably more for both ammo and guns and would most likely become hard to find in the future. All of which have have happened. 30SC is a nearly identical experiment IMO. Regards Gateway Kid
  24. Echo on the sorry to hear that. Maybe another doctor? Whatever you choose will be right for you. Regards Gateway Kid
