Seriously! People are constantly using old photos of cowboys, etc. as examples of how costuming should be. It's kind of been my impression that in the vast majority of those photos the subjects are wearing some style of facial hair, whether it be mustache, beard, whatever. So why not require it in Classic Cowboy?
Except for one year when I was having worse than normal wrist issues, I've been shooting CC for almost twenty years, so I'm not bringing this up because I ain't "been there, done that". I have. So why not?
Women too?

I called Dillon today to order a new plastic powder hopper for my RL550. It's still usable but getting a little cloudy over 26 years. I was surprised that they told me it was free under warranty. I also ordered a blue bin for loaded cartridges and machine covers for the 550 and 750. HoraceIt's the best customer service anywhere.

Interesting - I have Titegroup, but all my data I can find says Titewad is the shotgun version. Interesting, thank you very much.
Tightrope good for everything. I rub it on my chest when I get a cold too.

I've had Cimarron's Texas Brush Popper in 357mag for almost 10 years (first lever gun I ever bought). It's got that half-half barrel config, and I gotta say, it's still not a super light gun. A 20" Chiappa 1892 is definitely lighter. I think a 24" Marlin 1894 is pretty comparable in weight to the Brush Popper.
So if you're looking for a air-light rifle, you may be a little disappointed. Just my two cents, of course. Probably need to work on my upper body, admittedly lol.
Want a light gun, try a 19 inch round barrel.

For rifle there are two I really like, both are very tough, durable, and the polished brass bead is very easy to see.
- Shotgun Boogie: https://sbgwllc.com/shop/dove-tail-front-sight-for-octagon-barrels/.
- PGW Speed Sights: https://the-online-outpost-licensing-corporation.myshopify.com/collections/rifle/products/speed-sights-front-rifle-standard-and-tall-height-pioneer-gun-works
I can be a bit energetic when discarding my rifle and have broken many a Marples sight right off the barrel. I have yet to break either the SBGW or the Speed Sights. The SBGW is easy to install and you can get different size beads in either brass or Stainless Steel. For my shooting style I prefer the tall and small bead.
For pistol, the OnTarget sights have worked out very well for me. Easy to install and very easy to see!. https://www.yankmachain.com.
You can see both in action here:
Completely agree on both.

I went out to my reloading shop today and cast some bullets for my cowboy guns. The ubiquitous 45 Colt... and for my long range guns, .30-30 & .32-40... (I already have plenty of .40 cal bullets for the Sharps.
So, I went thru 8 lbs of lead. the .45s weigh as cast 237 grains, the .30 cals weight 150 grains and the .32s weigh in at 170.
How many bullets did I cast?
Oh yeah, none of y'all are mind readers, so I'll help a little: For every 4 .45 bullets I cast, I cast 4 of the .30s and 3 of the .32s.
4. Is that close?

I was helping a brand new shooter yesterday. He levered his rifle at the loading table and parts started falling out. So I handed him my rifle and ammo.
Then he was loading some kind of Remington repro with a Kirst conversion cylinder. He had a little knowledge of how to get it apart and load it but had trouble with cylinder reassembly. I have no knowledge of it so stood back. Anyway that jammed after 3 shots so I loaned one of my revolvers to use instead.
Usually I have plenty of match ammo with me but yesterday I didn't but I did have a container of ammo I designated as practice, meaning unknown. Nothing dangerous just off-brand primers and various other stuff.
Anyhow that's what I was shooting.
Twice I entertained the posse and myself with a big black powder BOOM 💥.
New shooter left after 3 stages.
It was hot but I'm not sure we'll ever see him again.
Some people have no sense of humor . I rather enjoyed your BP rounds.

Anybody using N320 powder for their 38spl, 45 Colt and 45Acp loads? Online reports and forums say it is much cleaner burning and more accurate than most other pistol powders like Titegroup and W231.
Super clean. A bit expensive. We use it in 357s with 105, 38s with 105 AND 95s, and 32 h n r with 78s n 100s. WHEW.

Ok, that is what I thought but when you lumped it with OKC EOT I was wondering if there was another. We did shoot the Tombstone match the weekend before EOT last year and had lots of fun. I bet Bordertown would be as well.

G'day Pards,
My XL650 is now and again not pushing 9mm (and a sometimes but not as often .38 Spl & .45acp) cases completely into the shell holder, so that when it's raised the shell that's going into the decapping die gets hung up.
How do I adjust the black part that moves the case into the shell holder, to move a little more towards the shell holder? Is it worn is that the problem? I can't see any adjustment that I can make (it's not the camming pin that's causing it).
Hope someone can help.
Thanks!
CALL DILLON after about 11.
