  1. I used to be able to post photos using Photobucket on the wire but not any more. I've even loaded a new PB app and it didn't help. Being able to load directly without a PB or other sharing service would be nice.

  2. Howdy my name is Yul Lose and I'm a toolaholic. I can't stop buying tools. I have tools that have never been used, I have over 300 router bits and lots of them are still in new packaging. I have nearly every dovetail jig ever produced but I use only one for my gun carts the others have about an inch of dust on them. I've used them but the one that use 99% of the time is so easy to set up I CANNOT not use it. I use one Lie Nielsen block plane but have eight others that I've never used. I cannot pass up pretty lumber and I've got racks full of it. My wife asked what she was supposed to do with it when I'm no longer around and I told her to have a big bonfire. There is an enabler at the lumber store that I frequent that everytime I come in he says " hey come here I've been hiding something for you" and I go home with more lumber to add to my stash. I go to a 12 step meeting once a month for woodworkers and all we do is talk about new wood we want, new neat tools that we can't do without and so on, it's not helping. What's a guy to do?

  3. Our daughter lives just down the road and she stopped by twice a day to let the cat out in the morning And back in at night so that the coyotes didn't get her. We took Charlie the dog with us this time and I think he had a good time. Being around a bunch of kids and another dog kept him busy.

  4. Hardhand Smidgeon... you got to be kiddin'? What the hell is a "garbage bill"? Where do ya get 'em?

    Dam.

    ts

Ya get billed by the trash companies that come by once a week to collect yer garbage. The Gray can is for trash, the blue can is for recyclables, the green cans are for green recyclables like leaves and grass clippings. Don't mix the three up because then you'll get in trouble from the garbage collector. Seems I threw some empty spray paint cans in the trash and they were supposed to go in the recycle can.

  5. I'm glad you said that Seamus, I once wrote him a letter urging him to vote against the assault weapon ban back sometime in the 90's and he wrote back saying that the recent events in California where the criminals outgunned the police with AUTOMATIC WEAPONS, proved that there's no room for assault rifles on the street!!! He told me he was a second amendment supporter and grew up around guns. Yea, right so he didn't know the difference between a FULL AUTO and a SEMI Auto??? I wrote him back and then never heard from him again. Seamus is right, as a politician he was a useless liberal voting strictly party line. Terrible senator!

I do however, commend his service to our country and may he rest in peace.

He served his country well in the military and as an astronaut but there wasn't much he did as a senator that made him a hero to me, in fact there wasn't much he did as a senator to be proud of.

  6. Back in the early 70's I went to work for a RCC or Radio Common Carrier pre cellular by quite a few years. The company had 4 UHF automatic (direct dial) channels and 2 manual (operator assist) channels and 99% of the customers using the two services were agriculture or ag related businesses. I was an installer at first and installed the phones and two way radios. One day my boss comes out to the shop and tells me to pack up my tools in the service truck and put together what I need to install a direct dial mobile phone in an AIRPLANE!! So I got all of the stuff together and packed up and the lead tech came out of the tech room with a new Motorola Pulsar II mobile phone all set to go.

We got in the service truck and followed my boss out to the airport and just as we got there an airplane was landing. We got our stuff set up in a hangar and guess who shows up in the airplane that just landed? Barry Goldwater!!! My boss and him were good friends and Barry wanted a phone in his airplane so that he could make calls while flying back and forth from Arizona to DC. Well we did the install and Barry was very appreciative and he gave me and the tech each a hundred dollar bill when we were finished.

When we got back to the shop the tech informed me that what we just did was highly illegal because there were all sorts of rules about what types of electronics can go into an airplane. I guess the hundred bucks was for us to keep our mouths shut. My boss told me a couple of times that Barry really liked the phone and he could make calls all across the country.

  7. Alabama and Washington, Ohio State and Clemson. With the two winners playing for the national championship. I'm good with three of the picks but think Washington is gonna get steam rolled by the Tide. A better pick in my opinion would have been Michigan, they wouldn't get steam rolled quite as bad. I'm picking Alabama to win it all again. What say you?????

  8. I used to have an old yellow cat that would climb up into the UPS truck when he was dropping off packages at the house. On a couple of occasions he got back to the UPS depot and discovered the cat and brought him back. The cat's name was Lucky, by the way and I would reward the UPS driver with packages of Buffalo meat. My wife wondered why the UPS driver didn't just shut the door when he got out of his truck and I think it was because he liked the Buffalo meat.

  9. I'd love to try W3G but Piru is a bit to far for me. If there were W3G offered a little closer to home I'd be at each match. I guess the problem is finding a venue for it and down here IMO the only venue that might have a place for it is Cajon. Norco wouldn't be welcoming because they've pretty much turned into a public shooting range now and the other venues that I frequent wouldn't know what it was.

  10. dunt noz bout anyone else, but I handle food wit my hands....unless it's like chili or sumthin' and then I use a spoon.... :D

no, seriously, my club doesn't serve food, folks either go out to one of the restaurants in the little towns nearby, or some of us that camp will get out the grills and have pot lucks or such....the other club we regularly attend does serve lunch after, but the # of shooters at each shoot is pretty stable, of course there's more during nice weather than when it's cold, but they have a pretty gud idea every time how many mouths they'll have to feed

I must admit that when I shot with the Regulators up at Cheyenne in September that that lunch after the match was great. Occasionally JJ up at Cajon will have a hotdog lunch after the match and it's well attended and appreciated. We have a great facility at Escondido Bandidos and everytime we have a potluck or BBQ it's pretty popular but I don't know how it would work on a monthly basis. I usually do a shoot thru to get the fire going and stuff so the shooters won't have to wait to eat when all of the steel is put away. I don't know if I'd want to do that every month.
