  1. About 80% of the time I wear a Charles Hubert pocket watch.
  2. Winchester lists the 1886 on their website: http://www.winchesterguns.com/products/catalog/category.asp?family=024C
  3. For me, these days its most likely to be Absorbine Jr.
  4. Pancho, Thank you for the reply. That is what I was afraid of, SWAT guns, not Cowboy guns. I lke tactical type guns, but that is not what I'm looking for right now. And thank you for your suggestion. I actually contacted 3B Shooting Supplies last week, and since they don't have what I'm looking for right now (and Cimarron is apparently out of stock at the present), 3B gave me some interesting leads to check out; but so far those leads have not led to a rifle for me. C.J.
  5. In response to a recent thread I posted about where I might find a Uberti (or Cimarron or Taylor) 1873 rifle, one person suggested that I check out the Dallas Gun Show. It has been several years since I have been to that show, but I have always been disappointed in the small number of Cowboy guns at the Fort Worth gun shows. For those of you who have attended recently: does the Dallas show usually have a decent offering of Cowboy guns? (Since that is the only reason I am thinking of going, I am trying to figure out if it is worth drivng an hour each way; if there is a good possiblity of finding something, I'll chance it). Any information would be appreciated. C.J.
  6. Thank you for the information. I checked the 3B Shooting Supplies website and sent them an email. The website says they are closed on the first Saturday of the month, so I will probably follow up with a call on Monday. Ramblin Ron: I'll also check with Pioneer Gun Works to find out about a rifle without a short stroke modification (I plan to use the same rifle for SASS and NCOWS, and I understand NCOWS doen't allow short stroke mods). C.J.
  7. I'm looking for a good source for Uberti 1873 rifles in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area. Any suggestions regarding gun shops would be appreciated. C.J.
