I love my .44s, been my main pair for over a dozen years without a hiccup. I'm a little confused as to why an FFL holder is asking where to source a gun?

Well, that makes a .44 magnum with a 300 grain bullet an Express round? Read through this section at the 76 forum, I'm pretty sure you won't find any reference to the 45/60 as being an express round. https://www.cascity.com/forumhall/index.php?topic=36384.0

I got one of those chop saw's and the jig too, they work great! I use Starline 45/70 to cut down and they work perfectly in my Uberti 76. This is the 1st time I've heard of the 45/60 being called an express round. 50/95, yes, but not the 45/60.

Snooky's book is an awesome read. I have 2 of them, lost one during a move to a new house, finally found the original autographed one while looking for something else. That box had several other well loved books in it I had forgotten about. Anyway, Snooky could have made a great living at being a gun writer in my opinion. "Dead before God got the new's!" Gonna have to get that one out again.
