What's your story???
I had an old man tell me once, and quite belligerently, that I could not load black powder into shot gun shells..........

Buy guns at gun shows? I go for the beef jerky, and aluminum siding vendors.

Do you remember the prices possibly?
Sorry I don't.
But I cam tell you the parts were newly manufactured.
-
Try Pisco, I got screws and a hammer spring from them about 5 years ago.

Thinking of trying this using a spare cylnder loaded on the line from a cylinder pouch located on the belt. . Checked with club and they are fine with letting me try it....................any thoughts?
I'd say stage the add'l cylinder with the rifle.

He doesn't like using a capper because of sometime they fall off, his reason is he can squeeze the caps and put them on with confidence that they will stay on.
I did for one match by hand with the cylinder in the gun and it was a pain. And that was on new nipples, the match before I had at least one cap per gun come off per stage with the new nipples.
I had replaced them because the other were becoming deformed. They had been on the cylinders for about 12 years
Best thing since beer in a can is the wooden or antler boolit pushers people have, I use them to set my caps after using the capper.
-
He also pointed out that a lot of conversion cylinder must be taken out to be loaded so what is the difference?
There isn't, it's basically the same thing.

Scratchy print? With digital movies now, that would have to be a photo editing effect.
Modern technology........'sigh'
-
Isnt Phil Collins a big time Alamo history buff?
-
Totally digging this movie right now!
Be great at a discount theatre with a scratchy print!

The shootin' version is out now. Just wondered.
I'm guessing your referring to the Uberti '66 clone, since the Miroku '66 is a whole lot more.........

I had my blackeyed peas with chopped onion and diced country ham cooked in a skillet with butter and honey!!
You fry up the ham first with a little water and honey, then sautee the onions in the same skillet adding some butter while you dice the ham. Then you add bunch of blackeyed peas and the ham back into the skillet and heat it 'til it's nice 'n' bubbly!!
I'm gonna give this a whirl this week, sounds tasty.

If anybody happens to be reading this thread who might actually WANT one of these - you'll not find a finer pard than P Dawg to deal with.
Now, on with the hypnosis to remove the image in my brain planted there by the evil CC
CR
I got hot tea with Jameson to wash it away....

Did everybody eat their black eyed peas, greens and cornbread today?
Nope, we are having corned beef and cabbage with potatoes. It is our New Year's tradition.
Oh Man, I used to cook up a big pot of corned beef and cabbage, along with some killer black eyed peas.....had an open door policy from 4 to 8 for people. Missed that meal.....might have to go to the butcher for some corned beef this week.
But today it was chicken soup, and hot black tea with Jameson, honey, cinnamon stick, and lemon......trying to kick a cold.

Like Cemetery said, the Honey Do Lists will now get longer and never ending.

Watch out.

Last year I damaged both shoulders & could not shoot duelist.
So....I shot 2-handed.
Felt really strange.
It was either shoot 2-handed, or not shoot at all.
So..........I shot my cap guns holding on to them with both hands.
Had just enough strength in my injured shoulders to get through a stage.
Much satisfaction, though, in still being able to shoot my cap guns..
Still lotsa weakness in the shoulders.
When I shoot Josey Wales, I shoot my pistol pistols and shotgun pistol duelist, but don't have the strength to shoot my rifle pistols duelist
Strength is coming back slowly, but I do what I hafta do to keep on shooting

Phew.....was scared for a second that you went smokeless.........
Hope you get back in tip top shape!
-
I don't care what others shoot.
I shoot for my own satisfaction.

That's Right.

It has come to my attention that there are folks out there that are loading Shotshell with less than 3 grains more blackpowder than I use in .45 Colt ....
I've been thinking of using 3" shells for my SxS just so I can get more powder in...........

I use APP FFG. Not true black, no flame. Use only moderate powder loads as they seem to produce plenty of smoke as illustrated in this video.
I use APP in my 25.20, nice and smokey......

Here's one from many years ago at Cavern Cove. Been posted before, but quite awhile back.
Thats right.

I don't know.
Doesn't seem worth getting outta bed if you're using less than 70grains of black...........

Cemetery,
You WOULD think so, but it isn't the case. Not sure why, but even the Chiappa manual shows the top shell set back from the bottom.

I'll give this a try, maybe staggering forward might have been my issue this year.

Whoa does fried backstrap sound good!!
